Wonderful view from the window!
The room is wide-opened and so comfortable for long stay. Great location, nice restaurants and cafes are close by. Also, staff is kind. Definitely I’ll come back.

The room was okay, but the service the day before yesterday was particularly poor. The hotel has no swimming pool, cannot exchange currency, and cannot call a taxi on your behalf.

We stayed four nights at this hotel (actually at the time of writing this is the 4th night). We have been thoroughly disappointed with what is bad service across the board on what is not a cheap hotel. The concierge in particular has been of no help in terms of recommendations or helping make bookings. The location is central. But next to several loud cafes and bars. So if you don’t like loud music at 1am blaring through your window then again - avoid this place. We would heavily recommend going anywhere else but this place. Please dont repeat our mistake by staying in one of the worst hotels we have l ever stayed in. Istanbul is an amazing city so don’t let your trip be ruined by a terrible hotel experience.

We spent three nights in the penthouse room at The Pera Hotel (not to be confused with other properties with similar names) and had a good time. The hotel is very close to Shishane Metro Station and a short walk to the Tunel and Istiklal Avenue. Staff interaction was minimal but pleasant. The room was reasonably clean and had a 180-degree view that included Galata Tower. While the room was pleasantly functional, the large windows offered little sound insulation and the bathroom was tiny. Nonetheless, we were glad to stay somewhere central that also offered good views.

Great location for both street-life and city transport (2 stations, inc the historic and very uaeful Tünel funicular down to the port, both a few minutes walk), great staff, v clean and tidy. It's compact but that was fine by us because we're out and about.

Firstly, the hotel promises a swimming pool. (booked on Ostrovok.ru) It’s not there. No swimming pool, no hammam, no breakfast, all this is missing. I was looking for a hotel with a swimming pool. A bummer on all fronts. Number. There is no information anywhere that some of the rooms do not have a window. This is tough. You open the balcony, and there is a closed fire escape. The hotel is tiny. The only bright spot is the friendly receptionists. The room is small, if not for the lack of a window, you could spend the night. The sink did not fit into the toilet and is located right in the room. There is a plus in the location - close to the metro and the main street with many shops and restaurants. Conclusion: suitable for a short stay of 1-2 days. For a longer period, choose something else. Rating for the website “Ostrovok.ru” - 1, for the guys at the reception - 5.
