The hotel is in a good location, but there is a steep 300-meter uphill climb from the tram closest to the hotel. Friends who are pulling suitcases need to be careful. It feels like the hotel is old and the overall maintenance is OK. You can feel from the details that the boss at that time was very attentive. For example, the water faucet, shower head, and hand basin are all in the shape of water droplets. The angle and view of the rooftop terrace can see Galete and the old city in the distance. The front desk is very nice, they checked in in the morning, and they also gave free breakfast for the day. The most important thing is that the room is super big, with a Nakajima Terrace. It is the largest room at the same price I have ever stayed in. It is close to Galata, and there are many supporting services around. It is only a ten-minute walk from Independence Street. I'm sure I'll stay there again. I'm going to Turkey for the third time this year. It's my favorite hotel ever. It's more comfortable than a five-star hotel.

We travel internationally a couple times a year. This hotel room was really quite exceptional. It was spacious. It had enough outlets. The furniture was extremely tasteful - Danish Modern from the 60s or 70s in excellent condition. The bed, chairs, and couch were comfortable. The rooftop terrace was incredible - fabulous view over the river to the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sofia. The breakfast provided was quite good. The staff were friendly and helpful. The neighborhood is really nice - not too commercial but with restaurants and stores nearby. An easy walk down to the tram station. And lots and lots and lots of cats in the neighborhood, all of whom are charming and relaxed. Photos attached are the view from the roof and the view from our breakfast table - note the orange cat, who we often saw on that perch. Also, one of those nice Danish modern chairs in the breakfast room.

The hotel is located in nice area where there are a lot of young local people, cafes, shops, restaurants. It’s not 100% tourists which is what we were looking for. We walked everywhere and there is a tram close to the hotel. Our room had the most beautiful view on Istanbul. I could not stop staring at the magical scenery from morning to evening. If you can pick a room with a view it is really worth it. The hotel is clean, modern, lovely staff and delicious breakfast. We loved it. You need to climb the street to get there but the cardio was good after all the baklavas we ate.

This is a very nice hotel. We had a King Panoramic room, which is very large and nicely furnished. It was very clean. The bed is big and comfortable with a nice seating area and kitchen. The neighborhood is pleasant with lots of shopping nearby and a short walk uphill to Taksim Square or downhill to the trams. The hill is kind of steep and the sidewalks are challenging to navigate so anyone with mobility issues is probably better off getting a taxi, but that's easy to do with Uber or just flagging one down. The breakfasts are excellent: good selection plus outstanding quality and service. Also there is a great view from the roof lounge.

Fabulous hotel. Our room had a balcony with great views. Lovely breakfast and friendly staff. Only downside was that it is situated on a very steep hill. We got used to it but not for anyone with mobility issues. Take flat shoes!! Hotel is stylish and room was very comfortable. Choose one with a balcony if possible for great views. There is a rooftop terrace too which we had to ourselves most days. Great find!

A fantastic boutique hotel. Small and very personal. Very convenient location. Staff are all amazing. Fantastic restaurant tips (Michelin star standard all walking distance). Hotel is very clean and very comfortable. Breakfast is great and the cappuccino (s) amazing. For a business or leisure trip I highly recommend. My Birthday cake from the hotel was chocolate heaven. We will be back…..

The Witt is conveniently located 5 minutes walk from Tophane tram station which gives easy accessibility to all the main tourist sights in Sultanahmet and the Dolmabahçe Palace. It is a steep walk though, but easily doable. It's in the more modern side (Beyoglu) so has more "local" shops and restaurants nearby, vs Sultanahmet which is much more touristy. We had the penthouse suite which was a good size and had a fantastic view of the city. Breakfast at the hotel was generous and delicious. The staff were all warm and friendly and happy to help with booking requests. We also used the hotel's transfers to and from the airport, which were very smooth and pleasant.
