Simply put, Tainaron Blue Retreat has provided me the most wonderful visit and stay I have had in all my 68 years. For context, I grew up in Southern California, and I have been many places in my life including Hawaii, islands in the Caribbean, and several Greek islands as well (Santorini, Mykonos, Paros, Corfu, Skiathos, etc) , but Mani and in particular Cape Tainaron is now by far my favorite place. Making my visit there ultimately unparalleled was my stay at Taianron Blue retreat . With its tranquility and majestic views, its beautiful accommodations , Kostas' incredible and detailed hospitality, and the wonderful food as well, Taianron Blue was ironically not as the region was thought of in ancient time as the gateway to hades, but in fact Heaven on Earth!!! It simply was perfect and I highly recommend it. Unfortunately my wife could not come with me for this visit but I am already hounding her for a return next summer!

We booked this hotel wanting absolute serenity and relaxation and it delivered 100%. The size of the property is perfect for those looking to escape - only 4 rooms - and the aspect and views are breathtaking. Photos do not do it justice. The rooms are well sized given that the hotel is an old Mani Tower. Because of the size it feels like most of the shared space around the pool area is private. Special mention to go to owner Kostas who has bought this place to life - he is engaging, knowledgeable about the local area and passionate about the region and his guests hospitality. We did quite a bit of exploring during our stay but it would be perfectly possible to spend your entire stay within the walls of the property and have your every need catered for. The food we had on our first night was delicious, and so to was the breakfast every morning. We have been hesitant to mention the address to too many people only because we selfishly want it to remain a hidden gem! We can’t wait to come back and stay again and enjoy Deep Mani knowing that we have paradise to go back to at the end of a day exploring.

Thank you to the owner and his entire team for the quality of their welcome and their service. We were in the room with pool and sea view with lots of charm. The setting is sublime and the cuisine is excellent. Thank you for all your little touches. Rest is guaranteed, to be recommended without hesitation!

If you are reading reviews to decide whether you should stay here or not... Stop right now and just book it. It's worth it. A wonderfully tailored experience for my wife and I, we found time to relax, unwind, and enjoy amazing food. Kostas (the architect) found an amazing location, made an amazing hotel, and helped us create amazing memories. We only wish we stayed longer. We stayed for dinner multiple times, and never a dish we regretted ordering. The flavors were inspired. I recommend you expect a long relaxing dinner experience, because this is not a meal to rush through and you won't regret it.

There are places on this planet which are just marvelous; Tainaron Blue is one of them. This is more than a place to spend a few days! Painstakingly restored by the owner and his wife it immerses you into the world of old Mani. Situated high on a cliff there are endless vistas. Combine this with the authentic high class cuisine served under olive trees and what is there more to be desired.

There are places on this planet, which are just marvelous; Tainaron Blue is one of them. Painstakingly restored by the owner and his wife it is not just a place to spend a few days but it immerses you into the life of old Mani. Situated high on a cliff in a lush garden with endless vista you feel immediately relaxed. Add the wonderful traditional cuisine served outdoors amongst love trees and what is there more to be desired.

Perched high on a soaring rock face, overlooking the ruins of an old Greek village, this tiny hotel is a true gem. Kostas the owner , is a perfectionist and this place is perfection. From the beautifully designed , comfortable bedrooms , to the general vibe of a totally relaxed atmosphere in which to forget the cares of the outside world, this former fortress provides complete protection from the reality of everyday life . The food , cooked exceptionally skilfully by Nata, is so delicious… Greek food but top notch and with a twist . The scent of wild mountain herbs on the breeze, the view of a distant beach , the total beauty of this location , all conspire to make this an extremely special place. We will return!

Far at the southern most tip of the beauteous wild Peloponnese and mainland Greece, and behind large iron gates, lies an oasis of tranquility and perfection. Your host is the genial, welcoming architect, Kostas, who has expertly restored an elegant Maniot tower to provide four small, but exquisitely styled rooms. Delicious breakfasts and dinners are served by him and his attentive staff on the spacious terrace, near the gleaming infinity pool that merges with the magnificent view of the blue, blue sea and sky above. Utterly transformative.

Definitely the best hotel of Mani!!! Ideal place to relax and spend all your day at the pool overlooking the magnificent view. It is a small 4 room traditional tower with a very luxury feeling. Food, including breakfast, is off the charts! Greek gourmet style with well sized portions and fantastic flavours! Mr. Kostas is such a great host, taking care of everything!
