We travel five months a year, mainly in Europe and Asia. We have stayed in countless hotels, from the Alps to Mediterranean islands, from Provence to Tuscany, and in Japan from Kyoto's Hiiragiya to Tokyo's Hoshinoya. Shuzenji Arai Ryokan is our favorite hotel. First of all, it’s a one night, two meals deal, very cost-effective, and the service is meticulous. The large bath in the ancestral hall and the outdoor garden hot spring are rare treasures. Compared to the two Michelin three-star hotels in the Black Forest and several Aman, Hoshinoya and Four Seasons hotels we stayed in, many of which left no memories, I was reluctant to leave the Arai Ryokan every time. The breakfast and dinner were never the same every day, and they were very attentive to the food. I felt the hotel's dedication. I would like to thank the staff for their meticulous care during my stay. They always greeted us in the restaurant very early and the staff were very kind and friendly. We stayed at Snow No. 1 this time. The room has different garden views on three sides, which is fascinating. Of course, there are many highlights in Shuzenji Town that attract people. This is my second time visiting Shuzenji Temple and my second time staying at Arai Ryokan. I believe I will continue to stay here next time. The places I have visited the most in Japan are Kyoto, Shirakawa-go, Kanazawa, Niseko, and Noboribetsu. . . Many places have their own characteristics, but Shuzenji seems to have no characteristics, but it is the most charming.

The environment and service are first-class! The service staff was very considerate and polite, and they helped us park our car in the parking lot. The downside is that the food for breakfast and dinner is average and not amazing.

Although the weather was cold, it was a very comfortable stay. The hotel staff guided us through parking and check-in from the entrance, and efficiently showed us the facilities in the hotel. There are 5 hot spring pools with different experiences. The independent dining environment is great, away from the hustle and bustle, enjoying time with family and friends. The service staff was very friendly and helped us adjust to our needs of not eating raw food. It was a very nice stay!

I am very satisfied with my trip at Arai Ryokan. It washes away my physical and mental fatigue. The architecture and gardens are beautiful, and the waiters are very friendly and considerate. I especially enjoy wearing traditional kimonos to enjoy rich Japanese food and soak in hot springs. It is very experienced and the children are also very involved. and happy. Both Tianping Bath and Family Bath are recommended to be worth a visit. The overall feeling is great.

The traditional Japanese rooms and hot springs are really nice. The valley view from the room is really great. The surrounding scenery is also beautiful, and I definitely want to come back next time. It's a ryokan.

The hotel is antique and the room is very large, so you can put your suitcases anywhere. The tatami is very comfortable and the heating is sufficient. You can soak in hot springs in the hotel, and there are a variety of private couples to choose from.
