This is a Ryokan which has a very good reputation. For me, the stay is perfect and I will recommend this Ryokan. Even though you cannot value the location of the Ryokan, as Shuzenji is a very small place. The Rokan is right opposite to the bamboo forest, which is suitable for my personal view. However, you need to notice as it is close to the bamboo forest and near to the river, you will find many bugs here, especially at night. Don't forget to close the windows and doors. When you first arrive at the Ryokan, don't forget to take a photo of the board at the door as you can find your name on it. If you have a name that can be written in Kanji, you can even email them to let them write in Kanji. The Ryokan itself is large but the staff are very nice and friendly. They will introduce the whole Ryokan to you when you arrive and lead you to the most places so that you can find out the several Onsens and amenities' locations. I will recommend you to discover the Ryokan when you are free. The Ryokan even provides guided tours as most of the buildings here are cultural heritage. Moreover, the Ryokan will even provide umbrellas, so no worries when it rains. The English of Ryokan staff is not ideal, as you might be able to guess. If you can speak Japanese, I will recommend you to use Japanese. The food quality is very good and they will sometimes provide some very interesting dishes. For example, the lobster shell tempura, which shocked me at first but tasted not bad. I have mentioned Onsen before but there are a few more you might need to know. Since the hotel has a long history, you might need to take a shower in your room first then go to the Onsen in different places as there are no shower places in Onsen like other Ryokan. However, the onsen is very good so I will recommend you try as many as you can. Overall, the Rokan is expensive but absolutely worthy. I will recommend you to try it when you are free.

　The first time we chose the back of the inn at Shuzenji Onsen, it was the Yukoro Kikuya. It is located almost in the center of the hot spring town of Shuzenji, and if you follow the prefectural road that runs through the northern bank of the Katsura River, there is an entrance to the inn, and there is a parking lot next to it. From the entrance to the main body of the inn, you will pass over the lobby built on the bridge over the Katsura River. Check-in is done on the sofa in this lobby, so you can see the Katsura River from just above the river. As the name ”Yu Corridor” suggests, many hot water areas are connected by long corridors. From those hot springs, I could see the beautiful garden of the inn. The dinner I was looking forward to was called ”Quasi Sakana Kaiseki”, and I was able to choose some dishes as I liked. We were two of us, and we dared to eat different dishes, but each dish looked beautiful and very delicious. Our accommodation plan was a plan to have draft beer free in the private lounge, so we had draft beer in the hot spring and relaxed.

■ Location 　Take a bus (220 yen cash only) from Shuzenji Station and get off at Miyukibashi, 2-3 minutes. The other side across the new bridge along the Katsura River. About 7 minutes on foot from Shuzenji Onsen Station on the route bus. Large high-rise inn. The scenery might be beautiful during autumn leaves. ■Nearby Attractions We recommend going to Niji no Sato on a free electric bicycle. The bicycle was also made by Panasonic and was new, and it was powerful even on the slopes. You can get there in about 20 minutes. At Niji no Sato, you can enjoy steam locomotives and views of Mt. Fuji. Also, if you have a receipt for staying at Shuzenji Onsen, Niji no Sato will give you a 30% discount. ■ Room 　The room was spacious and the bed was set on tatami mats, so it was comfortable to sleep. It was nice to have a humidifier. ■ Meals Buffet style with a competitive number of items. If you are with children, you can enjoy it in an entertainment mood. It might be more fun if you make it a fair specification such as cotton candy. On the contrary, it is a mess, so it is not recommended for those who want to enjoy it slowly or emphasize the atmosphere. ■ Amenities 　In front of the Daily Yamazaki convenience store in the ryokan, you can take whatever you want as much as you like. I think that management efforts to reduce personnel and maintenance costs are rational, only for Obako Hotel. I think the service of choosing a yukata is very good. Wouldn't it be nice to have a special yukata for a fee? If there is a design that looks good on Instagram. ■ Hospitality 　The check-in time was around 17:00, so I contacted them in advance. At that time, there are only two dinners at 18:00 and 18:30, and the 19:45 two-part system is not being done at this time, so I hurried to the hotel without eating lunch. At the front desk of the inn, it was said that after 18:00, there would be a two-part system at 19:30, and there was a discrepancy between the phone and time. Although I complained about it, the woman at the reception was indifferent, with no apology or confirmation, whether the complaint was a daily occurrence. Perhaps the person on the phone misunderstood and told the time, but I asked if there was 19:45, and although I insisted that it was not, I regret that I told the wrong time. . I can't help but make a mistake, but I was disappointed because there was no follow-up at the reception.

Because there is a ”adult hideaway” on the official site, is the hotel and the facilities luxurious and the golf guest layer a little different? I thought, but the clubhouse is normal (feeling the year), and the hotel is a lot of Chinese tour guests. It's a fine thing, but I felt inconvenient because I usually said clocks and trash cans. I'm satisfied with the course, but the hotel is not revisited.

The Meijikan, a place of the western part of the Izu Peninsula, is located along the sea of the land called Tohi. I think that all rooms are ocean view and a nice inn with a good sea even on the low hierarchy. [Room] It was a room with a wide edge between 8 tatami mats and 4 tatami mats, and an independent washbasin by the bathroom. Is it a room of the inn that is commonly constructed from the Showa period? It is a room with a year, but there is no impression of ”old dirty” because it is cleaned properly. Since the power supply is small, it is recommended to bring in a power tap when charging a lot of IT equipment. Above all, the wide edge is a window, so the sea is firmly visible. It is a very comfortable space, especially when the sunset sinks from the room. At night, the same wide edge, all the lights are turned off and the windows are opened a little, and the outside lights and waves are cleared to the ears, and the sake is enjoyed. It's been a long time since I had such a luxury. [Hot spring] Although it is a long established inn, there is a clean feeling in the facilities and space. Of course, I feel the deteriorated part, but it is a pleasant space that can be seen that it is cleaned quite firmly. It is also nice to incorporate the light outside into the bath full of eyes. The water is clear, and the temperature is not too hot and too wet. I used it in the morning in the rental state, but this is also a luxury time. The cherry blossom rental open-air bath has two types: ”urara no Yu” and ”nukumi no Yu”. It costs 45 minutes and 2200 yen, but I think you can experience it once. The facilities are even more beautiful. There is also an inner hot water in the space made of wood, and you can spend an elegant time watching the sea in the open air outside. Of course, there is a good washroom. Unlike the public bath, this is a little hot because of the hot water of the water. You can add the amount of water to your preference and enjoy it even if it is slightly heated or firmly wet. [Meal] ※ This time it is unused. I will try to experience it next time. [In-house] 1F There are many activities in the lobby that children can enjoy, such as souvenir shops and sweets shops, game corners (※ when I visited, I was closed because of corona). There is a large cart for carrying luggage, and it is safe even if it is a big luggage with a child. [Customer Service] There was no meal, so there was no contact, but when I left the car, I rented the open air, etc., I was very bright and gentle. It was very pleasant. [Others] It is very thankful for choshi. There are baby buses, baby chairs, toys, etc. in the public bath and the rental open air. In the room, there are too much comfort amenities for mothers such as mat and diaper for infants, and all of them are unified with characters and cute things, and it is a very happy service. At the reception, it was a service that was exhaustive for the child to provide a diaper if it was not enough. [Overall] A lodging that can be spent relaxing. And the feeling of excitement that can be played in the sea in front of you in the morning and at night. It's nice to be able to wake up with the morning light. The ”beauty” of the cherry blossom room is quite different from the way people feel, so compared to the new inn and hotel recently, it is said that it is a room with an old season. Personally, it was the inn that survived from the Showa period Heisei period, and I felt that it was kept clean even without renovation or renewal. In addition, the service and location are nice.
