Pura Vida Pirineos

What a lovely welcome we received on arriving at the Pura Vida Pirineos. Thank you Viktor. Tired after a long motorcycle journey, we parked the bike securely in the driveway and enjoyed a choice of wine or beer in the reception area. This was paid for by us but was so welcome. The place feels like home from home. Viktor could not do enough for us. We had recommendations for restaurants and chose La Tasca De Ana, a very popular tapas bar in town. It was fabulous. The food and service amazing. Just goes to show, listen to the locals! :) We came back to the room for an early night as shattered and the bed was extremely comfortable. The room was delicately decorated with everything we needed. Great shower etc. Beautiful views out onto rear gardens. The best bit though was the location. So peaceful and quiet but 10 mins walk from town. A fab night's sleep and a wonderful breakfast this morning of fruit and yoghurt and tostadas con tomate with ham and cheeses. Yummy. No need for lunch today! Thank you for your kind hospitality Viktor and your wife for looking after us behind the scenes. Would 100% recommend to anyone.

Clean,helpful host but breakfast was very disappointing. A cup of bad coffee,orange juice, small bowl of fruit and a dry overcooked pastry--inedible. No butter or jam. Where was the buffet sbown in advertising photos ? Sorry, wont be back.

Stayed here overnight travelling to the south of Spain. I stay in hotels for business and pleasure often and it is great to find a place that gets everything absolutely right. Jaca is an impressive modern town in the northern Spanish mountains, with lots of bars and tapas restaurants - very busy on a Saturday evening. The hotel is on the edge of town and within walking distance of the centre, set in an upmarket residential area. It's not much more than an upmarket guest house so don't expect the Ritz, but the staff are friendly and welcoming, the hotel is clean and tidy and the rooms are quiet so you get a good night's sleep. I booked a single room. The bed was a small double, the room was small but fine for me and the bathroom was perfect. And the breakfast, for 10 euros, was excellent. I just can't recommend this place highly enough. If you are passing through or just need a place to rest your head, stay here. I will certainly stay again if I'm coming this way.

Good location, clean, beautiful space, and very friendly staff. Our stay felt almost home-like, topped with a freshly made breakfast served on the patio. There was ample free parking right outside on the street. We had to take a few short flights of stairs to our room, which wasn't a problem for us but might be for someone else. If we could give 6 stars to the lady who was there to check us in and make us breakfast, we would ☺️
