Central Jakarta Tanah Abang Hotels

It’s worth it. The room is clean and spacious which always be my first priority in choosing the hotel I want to stay. There are various options of foods offered in the buffet. Staff are friendly and helpful. The wifi connection is reliable (I did request upon my booking for a quiet room with a stable internet connection).

The front desk there has very good hospitality with warm greeting and smile. As well provide you and suggest you options and do not push you. Thumbs up for their front desk. we do not request for house keeping, and eventually they call and approach us to check if we need any amenities, which surprise us with their good service. The hotel has a layer of securities where they will check the car/taxi entering their premises, which make me feel safe. If you wish to buy some groceries , there are some mart out there which is walking distance, but pls do expect the road is not so proper to walk at the roadside as there are a lot of cars and motorcycles.. The room come with kitchen where we can do simple cooking (provided u have the groceries).. I will stay back the same hotel if I back to Jakarta again ..

Definitely located in the perfect location, near shopping malls and public transport. Room looks old, with not many amenities inside eventhough i booked their executive room. I also had a problem with the Aircon in my room, very very hot, and unfortunately the phone is not available so we need to chat on their whatsapp if we need something, but it took a veryyy long time for them to response (took around 20-30mins for them to reply my message), wait for the technician that never coming. I need to go down to the lobby to directly complain to them and speeding the process.. at last they decide to move me to another room. They need to improve for their speed to resolve any complains for the guess, at least if your telephone not working, there should be someone stand by for 24/7 on your whatsapp number so we not need to wait loooooong time to get a response. Positive side, their staff are very friendly, and quite various options for the breakfast buffet.

The hotel location is really good and it is in Central Jakarta closed to the malls, Selamat Datang Monument, Monas (National Monument), Merdeka Square, National Museum and so on. If you want to use the public transport there are MH Thamrin Bus Station and Bundaran HI Bank DKI MRT Underground Station near the hotel. All staff are welcoming and they are willing to help. Among them, I encountered Agian who was above and beyond his duties. I will certainly choose to stay at Holiday Inn Express Wahid Hasyim again when I am in Jakarta in the future. Many Thanks.

We stayed here for one night just to go Thamrin city, Tanah Abang and grand Indo. Really very nearby. There were quite a lot of food stalls around. Can be quite heavy in traffic but we didn’t mind. We took the Bajay around as a family and it was convenient to go nearby places. The rooms were so beautiful. Breakfast was very simple, just toast and a few main dishes. Would stay here again for the location.

The location is great as next to 2 nice shopping malls and also GBK. Also not far from SCBD area. Only downside is the hotel is very dated, the staff didn't clean my bathroom well during my stay. I would recommend for a budget stay but not for a business stay. Breakfast was not bad.

It is a good experience with this hotel. Great services, by solving problems that we have faced during room check-in. Its also great that they have an laundry room, I get to wash my clothes but it is quite packed because many people using it. Good environment too!

This hotel saved my trip. I recently checked in to a hotel in north Jakarta which was just awful so I had to do a last minute booking to move. This came up and it didn’t disappoint. My room was clean, tidy and the staff was polite and friendly. I really like the fact they have self serve laundry, and a mini gym which opens 24/7. The breakfast selection is only small and the dining room is also small so sometimes it’s fully packed but the food is really tasty! Although my room didn’t have a safety box, it wasn’t a really big deal as everything else is pretty good. And it’s also very close to Grand Central mall so overall I really enjoyed my stay here.

We stayed at Ibis Styles Jakarta Tanah Abang as a couple and had a great experience overall. The cleanliness was excellent — the room and facilities were well-maintained and spotless. The staff were very friendly and professional, providing top-notch service throughout our stay. The location was good — close to Tanah Abang Market and other central attractions, although the surrounding traffic can be quite busy at times. Amenities were also satisfying, though there is some room for improvement to enhance guest comfort further. Overall, a great value for the price, and we would recommend this hotel for couples looking for a clean, comfortable, and well-located stay in Jakarta.

I had the pleasure of staying at Ascott Jakarta, JL Kebon Kacang, and it was truly one of the best hotel experiences I’ve had in Jakarta. From the start, the check-in process was smooth and efficient. The front desk staff were polite, professional, and always ready with a warm smile – it immediately made me feel welcome and at ease. The room was more than just a place to sleep – it was beautifully furnished, spacious, and felt very homey. I loved the thoughtful touches like the fully equipped kitchenette, a cozy living area, and the comfortable bed that gave me restful sleep every night. I thoroughly enjoyed the amenities. The swimming pool was clean and relaxing, the gym was well-equipped, and the overall environment was peaceful despite being located right in the city center. It’s a perfect balance of comfort and convenience. Lastly, the location is unbeatable – just a short walk to Grand Indonesia and Plaza Indonesia, and surrounded by great local eateries. It made exploring Jakarta so easy and enjoyable.
