Ramada Encore by Wyndham Guadalajara Aeropuerto

The room was ok. We used my trip coins. We were given the room roght beside the elevators despite our request for otherwise. There were welcome drinks. The room was seemed like it was for a child. The drawings on the walls and the little red shelves, the red sofa like table was a little much for us. We booked the king suite. There was tableware i.e. cutlery, microwave, a coffee pot and a fridge stocked with some snacks. They had one sachet of green tea and one of earl grey tea. There were two sachets of coffee. The amenities were ok. It was stocked for ONE guest only despite me booking for two, so bring your own stuff. There are no robes and no slippers provided. The kitchen sink looked like aircragt lavatory sinks which i found uncanny. There is an ice bucket for ice if you like cold drinks which i do. When i called guest service to ask about it, she said she spoke only Spanish and asked in English if there was someone who could speak Spanish to her instead of giving the phone to any other colleague who might be able to speak English. She told my husband(he speaks Spanish)to go down and get the ice and that was really odd but he did. I found it very odd for a hotel near the airport to employ someone who is not bilingual in English and Spanish for their non-Spanish speaking guests. Just be aware of that and pick somewhere else if your stay is longer and need assistance and don't speak Spanish. Pick up was also odd. I called at 2 am asking for a porter to assist me for pick up time at 2:20 am. The front desk, Saul arranged for a pick up for bags at 2:25am but the porter never showed up. I went to the lobby to inquire about and he THEN called the porter, who was the bus driver, to assist with my bags outside the room. I had 6 bags and my husband was waiting with them outside the room. I was relieved at the end of the day to arrive safely. love their breakfast spread and the service. vicinity of the airport with free shuttle. 2 free bottles of water in the room. there is also a gym and a swimming pool in the hotel.

It was a good stay overall. The bar and restaurant sucks but at least we played billiards. It’s well located near the airport, so it did the job.
