The Assila is true to its promise of being a luxury hotel with impeccable service. Having contacted several other 5 star hotels in Jeddah, Assila was superb in pre arrival communication via email and app messages. The location is central, with all conveniences being a walk away. Food outlets, shopping all close by. The rooms are spectacular, well furnished and with all expected amenities, and more. The service from each staff member was unparalleled. Effort was effortless! The breakfast was one of the best I have had in the Middle East, perhaps even in the world and we travel every couple of months to all Kinds of 5 star hotels so this is no mean feat. The pool was very relaxing with water being warm. The gym is the best of any hotel in Jeddah and the ladies gym was definitely the most premium in Jeddah hotels. Siddharta Lounge and Pompas did not disappoint. I would not consider another hotel in Jeddah when I return.

The check-in experience at this hotel was far below 5-star standards. I arrived at 11 am, was asked to pay for a half-night, but then told I couldn’t check in until after 3 pm. To make matters worse, I waited 20 minutes while the front desk staff were more interested in taking photos and joking around than assisting me. The room was clean and had a nice view, but the outdated furniture and the disappointing service really brought down the overall experience. Not what I expected from a luxury property.
