Fairfield by Marriott Jingdezhen

There are not many options for short trips to third-tier cities. I stayed at both chains for one night each, and overall Fairfield by Marriott was better than expected. The room is a little bit bigger than Hyatt; the location is close to the high-speed rail station, but it is quiet and not far from Taoxichuan, a taxi ride of 8 yuan for 10 minutes. The breakfast is average, the rice noodles are ok, which is a local specialty. In comprehensive comparison, the price-performance ratio is good.

The hotel facilities are not very new. The hotel has a small elevator, a small corridor, and a small parking lot. It feels small but complete. Overall, it is okay to stay here. After all, it is a Marriott brand. There is not much to choose from in Jingdezhen. The comfortable and sanitary room is quite spacious

Fairfield is an economy hotel under Marriott. The overall experience is acceptable. If you just want to rest overnight, the price-performance ratio is still good. The lady at the front desk was very polite. The room window faces a residential building, which is quite close, so there is no view to speak of. The overall layout of the room is compact, but the bathroom is quite spacious. In addition, there are some flaws in the facilities. For example, the sink has scratches and has been repaired after cracking. The bathroom door would not close completely. The bathrobe was thin and had a hole in it. Kohler's toilet gasket flipped down without any damping and just fell down with a loud bang, which scared me. Breakfast was average, but no extra charge.

This hotel is located near a residential area, the surrounding is very quiet, and it is next to the Public Security Bureau, so it is very safe! The hotel is relatively new and the front desk service is very friendly. It is also very close to the surrounding scenic spots, about 5 kilometers away!

I really don’t recommend this hotel to friends who have requirements for soundproofing. 4⭐ I originally planned to make do with it for one night, but the two of us didn’t sleep all night. Two or three people chatted in the corridor all night, and they didn’t stop for several hours. I couldn’t understand. I was woken up in my sleep, 4.5 times a night. People in the community outside were chatting at 6 o'clock in the morning. One night, I felt like I was sleeping among the aunts at the entrance of the village. The sound of washing next door was too clear.

Let me start with the conclusion: I usually choose Marriott series when traveling domestically or abroad because the quality is guaranteed, but Jingdezhen Fairfield Inn is really the worst Marriott hotel I have ever stayed in! No doubt about it! The breakfast was left over from the previous night, there was no service, the air conditioning was on heating, and the lawn mower had to work very early in the morning. It was 28 degrees in the hot sun in Jingdezhen. The hotel told us that the air conditioner could not cool down and we could only use the air conditioner fan. However, the air conditioner fan was so noisy that it sounded like the house was being renovated. I had booked for two days, but couldn't cancel on the first day, so I checked out on the second day.
