Boutique hotel is only 5 minutes’ walk from DongLin Templle’s east Gate open to devotees for morning and evening prayers. Hotel boss is very nice and helpful. Went out of his way to alert us on the prayer sessions. PickEd us up from LuShan station (about 15 minutes’ ride( and sent us to Ropeway to go up to LuShan (five minutes’ ride). Hotel doesn’t have elevator but the boss lugged both our suitcases to level 2 in one go. The food is also very good. When I said I was vegetarian, the kitchen cooked my food first before cooking meat dishes ordered by other guests. Truly grateful to boss and his staff for the service rendered. Will be back to stay when I visit DongLin Temple again.

The ancestral court of Donglin Temple with a history of more than 1,600 years is really a good place that one must visit once in a lifetime. This time I chose Huazhushanshuitan B&B, and the experience was comfortable. The housekeeper called in advance to inform us of the free pick-up service and took the initiative to help deliver the luggage to the room on the second floor. The room was spacious and the bedding was clean and comfortable. My favorite is the tatami where you can make tea. There are green trees outside the window. Although the vegetarian breakfast does not have many varieties, it is not a problem to fill up. Auntie is very warm and lovely. It takes 5 minutes to walk to the temple, which is very convenient.
