As the only Ritz-Carlton, Retreat in China, from the moment you step into the hotel, every corner is a scene, compared with Indigo and Conrad at the foot of the mountain. Retreat is located in the Risai Valley as if it were a natural creation. The winding road slowly drives into the park, as if it is isolated from the world. The experience is full from the moment you get off the car. Here, ignoring all your consumption, it is just a string of numbers. While being simple and quaint, it also reflects the purpose of Ritz-Carlton, Retreat. If the weather is warmer, you can even roast a fire at the bar outside, and sit with three or two friends in the breeze for an afternoon. It can bring you inner comfort, even if it is only for two short days. Unlike sitting in the InterContinental lounge and watching the busy crowds coming and going underground, the environment of Retreat allows you to sit there alone, watching the village with smoke curling on the mountainside, the snow-capped mountains in the distance, and the clouds still hanging on the mountainside.
