Holiday Inn Express (Jiuzhaigou Scenic Area)

The hotel is a 10 minute walk away from Jiuzhaigou park, which is why we booked this place. Breakfast is soso, nothing spectacular nothing too bad. Rooms are clean, and it’s a short 3-5 minute walk away from a small town-ish area with convenience stores/starbucks/restaruants. Convenient.

Choosen this hotel for its location, short walk to main entrance of JZG scenic area. Rooms are clean & compact size. Quite a popular with HK & Thai tourists. As most guests set off the same time for JZG opening hrs, expect the breakfast area to be crowded. There's another sitting area hidden behind, but most guests finishes quite fast & set off to JZG. The coach bus to HLJZG station pickup point is close by, fares can be bought on the spot. (See pic)

The location is very good as it is just a short walk from the Juizhaigou visitor centre which is also the entrance to the scenic site. You will not need to join the long queue for public and private transport back to your hotel nearby. Beside, they is a massive traffic jam in the morning opening time and evening when everyone exit the scenic site. The hotel overall is good with a general breakfast spread catering to none China local tourist. The rest is what you would expect of a hotel. The hotel towels is a bit soft and none absorbent for our liking.

The room toilet water leveling is bad. Water does not drain and I am literally standing in my shower waste water while showering. When I called room service, they basically said there was not much that can be done as it is structural. Then why did they even let the room out? To be fair, they offered me a room change.
