NNuoxiaotuan## Facilities
The facilities are pretty standard for a 3-star hotel, with no particular standout features. However, the hairdryer is very powerful, which is great for those with thick, long hair. The toilet, on the other hand, is extremely small – you can't even close the door when sitting down, which is quite odd. But it does come with a smart toilet!
## Hygiene
Cleanliness was just average. Upon check-in, there were noticeable lint and short hairs. I wasn't too bothered by it while traveling, as guesthouses can't really be compared to hotels, and its location right by the Qianguqing (千古情) entrance is already a big plus.
## Environment
It's clear that the guesthouse owner manages the place well. The overall environment is lovely, with all the plants and flowers well-tended. I specifically came for the cats and dogs; QQ is genuinely adorable and tiny! You can even have pets accompany you in your room for sleeping, making it perfect for families with kids who want to interact with animals. There's a BBQ in the evening, and honestly, the food itself is just so-so. However, the ambiance, coupled with chatting with friends from different places, creates such a wonderful atmosphere that you tend to overlook whether the BBQ is delicious or not. The dogs also come to play, and I secretly snuck them some treats (even though I know dogs shouldn't eat human food, I couldn't resist!). A suggestion: it would be truly wonderful if we could all sing together at night.
## Service
Initially, I communicated with the guesthouse in advance to request a room on the third floor. However, they later informed me that a guest had extended their stay, so they offered me a room on a different floor and promised an upgrade for the second night as compensation. I reluctantly accepted. When discussing the upgrade, I specifically wanted an *in-room* hot tub, but the staff member misunderstood and thought I wanted an *outdoor* one. As a result, I was quite unhappy with the room for the second night (as I anticipated many bugs outside in the evening). Ultimately, I decided not to compromise and expressed my unwillingness to stay in that room. The staff member immediately coordinated and arranged a different room that I was satisfied with. There was absolutely no impatience or complaint from her; she was just incredibly apologetic the entire time. With such an attitude, I honestly would have been understanding even if they couldn't find my preferred room, as everyone makes mistakes.
## Overall
Considering everything, I believe this place deserves five stars. While there were a few minor shortcomings, the other highlights completely overshadowed them and made me forget the negatives. I hope to stay here again next time I bring my family to Jiuzhai.
