Chanod Haveli

I am in love with Chanod Haveli! We are on a road trip through Rajasthan and this is the first accommodation which gave us Rajasthani vibes. The room / floor we stayed in, is from 1896! Large verandahs border the rooms on either side. Stained glass on the doors and light flowing through stained glass transoms above doors and windows. Room and washroom are large (the joys of old housing) , modern facilities, impeccably starched and white bedding and towels(they are personally very important for me). And the beautiful marble flooring! For dinner, we were guided by Mr Shailendra Singh to a neighbouring restaurant. And what a view! Mehrangarh fort , Umaid Palace, fountains. The food was equally delicious. We had a delicious breakfast at Chanod Haveli itself before leaving for Jaisalmer. Took us back to our childhood days, of formal settings and relaxed breakfasts. As I said in the beginning, this is the Rajasthan experience I was looking for .

My family and I just returned from an unforgettable stay at Chanod Haveli in Jodhpur, and we're still raving about it! The hosts were absolute gems - warm, welcoming, and always ready with a smile. And the food? Absolutely divine! We devoured every last bite of the delicious local cuisine. The location was perfect, too - right in the heart of the city, within walking distance to Jodhpur's stunning attractions like Mehrangarh Fort, Jaswant Thada, and Umaid Bhavan Palace. If you're looking for a true home-away-from-home experience in Jodhpur, look no further than Chanod Haveli. I can't recommend it enough!

This is classic case of overbookings and messing ups. We had booked 1 room, upon arrival we requested for an additional room of course on payment basis which the host was kind enough to provide. Now suddenly after 2 hours of check in the host decides that he wants the additional room back for reasons best known to him. We agree to vacate the room but after returning from the city tour that we had already planned. The host however has the audacity to move out our opened luggage without our approval and in our absence. I think he clearly needs some lessons in respecting guests privacy. We checked out as soon as we could, found another great heritage haveli just 500 m away. Thanks but no thanks. Your ‘Hospitality’ hit a new low.

The best homestay experience that I could have hoped for, only wish it was longer. The most courteous and helpful host and staff who are ready to go extra mile to make your stay pleasant and comfortable. Mr Shailendra is the most amazing host, has interesting stories and recommendations to explore the place. Would love to go and visit this amazing place again

The haveli is actually a homestay managed by a lovely couple. The property is lovely, very well kept and managed. It's located in the old city, so some amount of small dirty roads to traverse, but not too much. I cannot overstate the advantages of staying in the old city. Most attractions are within walking distance be it the ghanta ghar, mehenrangarh fort, main shopping area and loads of street food! So location is definitely a BIG plus! The rooms that we got were very very comfortable, simply decorated and modernized. My mum had leg pain due to arthritis and they were very kind to give us a room on the ground floor. However, they have their dining room on the 3rd floor, for which she had to climb. They did offer to deliver the food to her room, so that option exists too. Also, they are doing some renovations to include some more rooms and a lift facility. The food is simply delicious! Simple typical home cooked indian meals that are satisfying. We stayed here for 2 nights and we had absolutely no complaints. The view from their terrace is gorgeous!! Definitely recommend staying here.

Stayed here for two nights whilst in Jodhpur. Beautiful, spotlessly clean havelli where you can truly relax. The owners are kind, generous, gentle people who can’t do enough to help you. The food is delicious, more than enough, and cooked to perfection. You can get a rickshaw right outside to go and visit all the sights of Jodhpur. If you want an authentic, clean, home from home experience- this is it!
