I feel so happy about the fact that this property was completely serendipitous experience. It was my money’s worth to the fullest. The personalised treatment we received from the staff as well as the owner Kailash ji was just amazing. The food is finger-licking delicious, especially the Rajasthani thali that we had the “local” way. Im so glad to have chosen this place to stay. The service was absolutely fantastic and so was the location and the ambience. Would definitely recommend to others and want to visit again. Special mention of Chetan ji who served us with love and happiness. Thank you so much

Camp Thar was a very disappointing experience. The rooms and adjoining bathroom were dirty as were the hotel grounds. The luxury “tents” were actually concrete bungalows with canvas drapes and had water stains on the walls and some of the bed covers were dirty. The food was okay but again the surroundings were dirty - leaving us feeling uncomfortable. The restaurant staff were friendly and helpful but the other staff seemed only interested in procuring tips! Also an unpleasant start to the stay when we were hassled by some local children in the grounds who turned nasty when we refused their requests for money. I’m sure there would be nicer places to stay in the area.

Visited this place to experience sand dunes and camel and keep Safari since jodhpur has no natural desert area . I did not stay there but did enjoy the day package . Enjoyed the hospitality of Meher Singh who not only gave us the Jeep Safari but also served us with lovely hot pakoras and ginger tea . Full appreciation for Meher Singh ji. The sunset views were awesome and so were the camel rides

We stayed there for a night to enjoy the safari and cultural activities. Before booking stay, we checked with multiple camps in Osiyan but we got best response from Hotel Manager - Chaten. Based on our conversation with him we booked the place and it was good decision. Our little kid enjoyed a lot in the camp and during camel and Jeep Safari. Chetan also arranged Driver - Nikitesh Singh for us for pick and drop in Jodhpur. He is a very good driver and highly recommended. The food served was tasty and as per our requirements and instructions. Entire staff is good. I deducted one star just because of lack of maintenance of the property. The tents need some renovation now. Also, tree house and adventure activity area is not maintained at all. Owner should take attention on them to increase overall appeal of the camp. Still a must visit.
