Thaba Eco Hotel

Great getaway spot, friendly and helpful staff… The spa is top notch, Ebar is located perfectly and has incredible drinks.

Due to a cancelled flight i had time to fill and as well as extending stay in Cape Town I fortunately came across this fabulous hotel where we stayed for 3 nights. It’s situated about 35 miles outside Johannesburg and was ideal for a rest after busy week on safari. Shortly after making booking the hotel contacted me to apologise as they were expecting an influx of students and noise levels for a period between 3 and 6pm would be higher than usual. I explained our wish for peace and quiet and the hotel very kindly responded by offering an upgrade to a Mountain View room which was well away from the potential disruption. What a superb room it was, large, airy and open offering a great opportunity to draw breath after the safari. The room benefited from all mod cons including usb sockets and a large screen tv should you want to watch it. There was also a mini bar which you could select the contents of. We had a gin bar which had Malfy gin with tonics and a range of chocolate, crisps and sweets. Absolutely fantastic couldn’t have asked for more. There was a nice pool with bar area, loungers would have benefited from cushions making for a more relaxing experience. Meals were taken in Kraal restaurant and I have to say breakfast was exceptional with large portions so big that I didn’t eat again on the day. Grounds of hotel were beautiful and I really enjoyed watching animals below from our balcony whilst enjoying a relaxing drink. Staff were very pleasant and obliging, happy to give you a lift in a golf cart to and from pool etc if requested. This hotel was exactly what we needed and i am so glad I found it. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Thaba Eco Hotel, is a platinum hotel, the best hotel I have stayed in, in all my travels. One of the most important things that makes this hotel unique is the AWESOME Service, every single staff member is an absolute Star. Thaba makes me proud to be a South African

OMG, please do yourself a favour, come and experience this place. It's designed to re-energise and bring tranquility. I am definitely coming back soon with my family. Everything is intentional and designed to perfection. I'm beating drums .... taking my doek off, Thaba Eco is the Queen and Boss of Travel experience!!!! Yeeppppppppyyyyyy!!!!!!.

All great service. Great people. Great location. I enjoyed every part of my stay. The rooms are very nice and massive.
