The Manor - A Boutique Hotel

This hotel is well placed at Jorhat. The Hotel reception and rooms are on 5th floor. Dining hall banquet hall on 4th floor with Bar at Ground floor.Rooms are clean & comfortable with suitable furnishing. However rooms do not have refrigerator. Bathroom is good with hot & cold water available round the clock however do not have any cloth hanging facility. The staff are very courteous & helpful round the clock. Overall it was a nice experience.

I stayed here overnight for a business visit and had to catch my flight from Jorhat Airport. The shower in my room was not working and the staff got me a bucket of water, this can happen and was ok with me I closed the door once the staff left. What surprised me the most was just while I was taking bath an housekeeping staff entered my room using a masterkey and was staring at me. When I realised someone had entered my room, I was shocked. I had to ask the person to leave. This is clearly an invasion of privacy and totally unacceptable in any kind of hotel. Imagine a lady colleague or a female member of our family goes through this situation? It will probably amount to harassment. After this incident, I went to complain at the reception and contacted the General Manager of the hotel who is probably a new joinee. The sad part is he did not even turn up to see me and in all probability this incident means nothing to them. I suggest any other guests travelling to this hotel to be careful and it's best you lock your room to avoid any unpleasant and embarrassing experience.
