A small Annexe of the main Gulmohor Grand hotel about 200 meters away. A new construction. Parking is nonexistent. No restaurant in the premise so room service from the main hotel. Quality of food is fine but on the expensive side. Room is small but ok. Bathroom is clean with limited toiletries. Room does have AC and tea maker with complimentary snacks which is good. Cutlery ***** with whiskey glasses are available in the room. Package food is served in room service so Cutlery is required. A small kitchen is there in the reception for some quick bites. Location is in a residential area so no food joints nearby. Good for a night stay. Not for families with kids. Overall had a satisfactory stay.

Good experience in Jorhat. Situated in a residential area, the area is away from traffic or markets. Pros: Very reasonable tariffs, very cooperative front desk and housekeeping staff, very very fresh and tasty food available at reasonable rates through room service, prompt housekeeping, no stinginess observed anywhere. Buffet breakfast is reasonable, people are cool and composed. Con: A very loud, growling motor keeps the building and rooms reverberating most of the time; I was told that the motor is that of the kitchen exhaust. It was particularly disturbing in Room No 408, as a result of which I was shifted to Room 309, after I stated that I would move over to some other hotel, if my rest and sleep were disturbed in this manner. No market, shop, public transport in the vicinity, so one is absolutely marooned there. Hiring taxis is the only option, and their rates are exorbitant. My compliments to the housekeeping staff girls, for their sweet demeanor and efficiency 24 x 7.
