We had a lovely stay at Anastasio. The staff were welcoming and friendly. It was very quiet (which suited us) and can see that more amenities such as beach club would be appreciated in warmer weather when busier. The location is about a 20 minute stroll along the beach to the main town (where almost nothing was open when we were there in late November). Breakfast was light but perfectly fine, and we had dinner there on our last evening - fairly plain food but fresh. We had a problem with our toilet several times but it was attended to quickly each time. We especially enjoyed the fire pit and spa, lovely ways to take the edge off late November chilly evenings.

Nice location out of the main town Very close walk to the beach and good views. Still able to walk into town via beach or road for meals Rooms are simple but very clean Staff is very helpful and can speak decent English Decent but small spa. Nice breakfast. Very nice adult only infinity pool

What a great place to retreat in one of the most beautiful beaches in the world! Great location, away from hustle and bustle of tourist trails. Wonderful beach within hand's reach. Rooms are spacious and clean. Fantastic on site restaurant and bar with amazing menu. Super friendly and helpful hotel staff. Highly recommended.

Very Nice, Upscale rustic hotel with a pool, a lovely garden where they have a bonfire at night, a casual restaurant, and a tiny but decent gym and spa. In high season it’s quite overpriced, but so is every hotel in Jose Ignacio. overall it was a very positive exlerience

So many good things to at but will start with the incredible staff. As Americans new to Uruguay, we had a lot of questions and requests. Every single staff member was so genuinely friendly and took care of everything we needed from surf lessons to horseback riding at the Estancia to taxis — even responding quickly to texts or WhatsApp when we were out. Wait staff and bartenders were wonderful to us and our children. The property is lovely, intimate and tranquil. Rooms were spacious. Great water pressure in showers. Delicious restaurant with views of the ocean. Easy short walk on a dirt road to the beach. Kids enjoyed ping pong, fire out, etc. José Ignacio is a wonderful beach town with incredible natural beauty, amazing restaurants, and very few shops/commercialism.

Wonderful stay at Anastasio Beach Resort. We were 5 couples of friends. The place has several cozy outdoor spaces and is about a block away of a spectacular beach.The place is gorgeous. Simple and in good taste. Staff was very Friendly and helpful. Maite at the reception was exceptional. Breakfast was very good with fresh pastries. Had a wonderful couple of days. Thanks

Excelente ubicacion, atencion. El desayuno espectacular. Muy buena experiencia. Cerca de la playa. En la playa te esperan con sombrilla y sillas. Estas al lado del Chiringo donde se come espectacular y el ambiente genial. Una escapada soñada!

Es un lugar maravilloso. Las suites - al menos las que nosotros habitamos - son grandes e incluyen un living con refrigerador. La atención es excelente y cálida. Está a 100 metros del mar e incluyen un living sombrillas y reposeras. El desayuno es muy bueno. Es realmente perfecto.
