In Juba, South Sudan, options are limited but you’ll be comfortable enough here with basic rooms offering AC, mosquito netting, plumbing that works and functioning WiFi. The mattresses and sheets are good quality although the towels are a bit thin. Two things stand out: The DELICIOUS cooking at the simple restaurant (get the beefsteak with fresh vegetables! And they do a great omelette in the morning) and the incredibly kind & helpful front desk staff, who helped me with my heavy luggage, ordered taxis for me, and even gave me a hug goodbye when I left for the airport on my last day. Even the Four Seasons won’t do that!
