JI Hotel properties in Kaifeng

The quality of the hotel is undoubtedly excellent. The room was odorless, and the air conditioning and heating worked well. The washing machine and dryer are on the first floor and are free to use. Breakfast is also on the first floor, currently only Chinese breakfast is available, with four hot dishes daily, including meat and vegetables, as well as small steamed buns, sausages, etc. The hot food window offers wontons and beef noodles, but the beef noodles were not very good; the soup wasn't great, but it was alright. The pick-up and drop-off service only covers Kaifeng North Station, not Songcheng Road. If needed, you can make a reservation with the front desk one hour in advance. It's about a 5-minute drive from the North Station. That's all the amenities! Layman (although she's a woman) drives very steadily and is very attentive and considerate.

Let's start with the positives. The hotel is quite close to Qingming Riverside Landscape Garden, about a 10-15 minute walk. Turning right out of the hotel would be even closer, but that road is under construction and very difficult to navigate; I wouldn't recommend walking there at night as it's easy to trip. On the first day, not knowing any better, I turned left and went through a pedestrian street, which was actually a detour. The staff didn't proactively inform me about the better route either. The service was acceptable. My room wasn't ready when I checked in, so I had to wait a bit, but not for too long. The room itself was quite spacious, but the bathroom had a slight odor. The shower had great water pressure, which was a plus. Breakfast was good, definitely a highlight.

Overall, the experience at this Ji Hotel was excellent. Located in the new district, the hotel boasts a quiet environment, away from the hustle and bustle of the city, ensuring a good night's sleep. The rooms were spotless, the bedding was soft, and the double-glazed windows provided excellent soundproofing. Ample parking was available, including charging stations, making it especially convenient for those traveling by car. The breakfast was authentic and delicious. The front desk was efficient, and there was also a laundry and drying room. Major tourist attractions were easily accessible by taxi, making it suitable for both business and leisure travel. It offered great value for money, and I would definitely choose this hotel again next time I visit Kaifeng.

Our B&B required a 12 PM check-out, but our train/bus wasn't until 5 PM, so our family decided to book a day-use room at a hotel. The hotel is quite new, and they offer complimentary coffee and fruit tea in the lobby. The front desk staff were incredibly attentive; they didn't treat us any differently despite our short stay. Instead, they assigned us a very quiet room and even proactively asked if we needed extra key cards! I was extremely satisfied. The room was spacious and comfortable, and all the staff consistently greeted us warmly. I will definitely stay here again on my next visit to Kaifeng, all thanks to this pleasant four-hour 'stopover.' Right next to the hotel is the Baiji Specialty Store, and if you walk a bit further, there's a Songyuan Soup Dumpling restaurant with absolutely delicious soup dumplings! Kaifeng Museum and Wanda Plaza are only 7-8 minutes away by e-scooter. The roads are wide, making shared electric bikes/scooters very convenient for getting around.

The service is courteous and considerate, making for a reassuring stay. It's the top choice for business travelers and highly recommended!
