Great host, very helpful and friendly and nothing was a problem. We would definitely stay here again. Room was comfortable and only a short drive into town. Great value for money especially compared to other places we have stayed in Kaikōura

Always disappointing to report a bad experience - I hope the owners take note and get their act together. The Good: - Clean room, good shower The Bad: - we booked and paid for king studio with one king size double for 2. We were provided with queen room with standard double bed with two other singles. No explanation, redress or apology. - Broken front patio door lock notified to reception. Not rectified thus compromising our security and safety - no plugs for bathroom or kitchen basins. Notified to reception. Not replaced - noise insulation minimal. Can clearly hear both adjoining rooms The Ugly: - back door opens on to a scrap yard

Very clean and being done up. The staff are friendly. Short walk to the beach which is great for our little dog. Pets made welcome. The place is quieter than the place we had in the middle of Kaikoura and the beach is very handy.

Booked for 3 nights and was surprised to turn up to a dated motel with no wardrobe or drawers for your clothes. Also no iron or ironing board. The units are dated and could do with sheer curtains to help give privacy. The rooms could also benefit from bedside tables. The shower was very good, however the kitchen facilities were extremely limited. Was disappointed for the $160 per night, motel deserves a 2 star rating. Much better value staying in Blenheim. Staff were welcoming and friendly though very new to the hospitality game.
