This is such an authentic place to stay and a perfect location in the ancient town. My room was great and overlooked the river and at night the lights were beautiful. The hosts are super helpful and all my questions were answered using translation apps. The fact no one spoke English didn’t matter as we communicated effectively using the apps. The family cooked me a lovely dinner in the evening and everyone was so friendly and helpful. This is a really lovely ancient town not visited by many foreigners. If you want to visit an authentic real ancient town I recommend you stay here. Such great value for money.

best host. got picked up from somewhere closer to Xiasi (so keep in mind it is a shuttle from certain points) and received help with some beehive in no time. perfect and amazing experience :)

Services are exceptional with owner answering my question in a minute. Lovely historical town with neat river bridges that are eliminated at night. You have to pay an entrance fee into Scenic area so if you are staying several days, make sure get multiple day ticket . Location is great if you like staying in Historical area and don’t mind noise form cheerful crowds. The light show at the historical area are beautiful but they come with the loud music and fireworks that shake the room until 10:30 at night. Location is 30-40 minutes away from Kaili so if you are exploring Minority Villages you have to take multiple busses (first to Kaili and second to village)

This place was great. Run by the entire family. One of the more sturdier of the wooden properties I stayed in. Very comfortable room with all you need - I think they all have views across the river. Very decent family run restaurant attached. Close taxi ride from Kaili South if you are overnighting there and don't want to stay in Kaili

lovely place inside xiasi village overlooking the river. the only place that accepts foriegners in the village. the owner offers a food menu too.

The boss is friendly, the inn is affordable, and the location is good, but I'm not used to the taste of the duck.

The room is simple, the service is warm, and the view is panoramic. Because it is a century-old wooden house, it is very charming to live in it. The boss is always on call and explains everything very carefully. When I wasn’t familiar with it at first, my boss took me there on a motorcycle.

The hotel is in a good location! It is in the center of the scenic area! The children like to live on the upper floor and run around! Cars from other places are not allowed to enter the scenic area, and the boss also helps with luggage! It's pretty good!
