Our stay at Paloma Resort in Alleppey was nothing short of extraordinary. Nestled right on the bank of the serene Backwater Lake, this resort delivers a truly immersive experience in the heart of Kerala’s natural beauty. The moment we stepped onto the property, we were struck by the calm atmosphere and the warm welcome from the staff, whose genuine hospitality set the tone for our entire visit. Our room, which faced the expansive lake, offered an incredible view. Waking up to the shimmering waters of Backwater Lake and soaking in the peaceful vibes from our private balcony was an experience we won’t soon forget. It felt as if nature was just an arm’s length away, and every sunset over the lake was pure magic. The culinary journey at Paloma Resort was equally impressive. The dishes were crafted with love, highlighting the freshest local ingredients and offering a delightful range of vegetarian delicacies that tantalized our taste buds. Each meal, served with care, was a celebration of Kerala’s rich culinary heritage. Paloma Resort is more than just a place to stay; it’s a sanctuary where you can truly unwind and connect with nature. This resort is quiet interiors where you won't find nothing nearby. You also cannot venture outside the hotel because there's nothing outside its gate. The property is so amazing ***** with the lake view so that you can just chill in the evening and in the pool. I must say this is one of the best properties I have visited in recent times, but, but, the service is not at all up to the mark. You need to make repetitive calls for anything you require, be it for housekeeping or room service. There are very limited options for vegetarians and the spread in the breakfast was also quite limited. The only saviour of this property is the lake view and the rooms which are quite good. The hotel also provides complimentary one-hour shikara ride which you can enjoy, but there's lack of manpower, personnel to cater to the needs of the guest when we visited in the first week of December 2023.
