Jr-East Hotel Mets Kamakura Ofuna

The location is super convenient, with restaurants within walking distance. It's also just a minute's walk from the subway station. Breakfast was decent, and the room size was typical for Japan.

This hotel is very close to Ofuna Station, and getting around by bus is also super convenient. You can take the N3 bus to Enoshima; it's really easy. Just take the N3 from the first stop to the last, and you don't have to worry about missing your stop. Board from the back door, tap your IC card once, and then tap it again when you exit from the front door. For Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine, take the N2 bus. You board from the front door, tell the driver your destination, and tap your card once. You don't need to tap when exiting from the back door. The room, although small, has enough space for two large suitcases. You absolutely must try the tonkatsu (fried pork cutlet) at 'Hanamura' nearby; it's incredibly delicious! There was also a peony flower exhibition at the entrance of Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine. While not huge, it added a lot of charm to our winter visit to Kamakura. The flowers were in full bloom when we went in late January. Kamakura is perfect for a leisurely, unhurried exploration. I hope I get the chance to visit again.

The hotel is conveniently located right next to the subway station, making getting around super easy. There are also plenty of food options in the vicinity. However, I personally felt the price was a bit steep, and the room was quite small. On the plus side, self-check-in at the front desk was very convenient.
