3-Star Hotels in Kamikawa

Large hotel room, clean and tidy but a bit old. Air con was not functioning much so need a fan. No special view from hotel room, was facing mountain / car park side. Limitrd car park space at hotel, but they could arrnage shuttle bus connecting a public parking area. Busy hotel restaurant, which means long queue for food. Hotel staff are nice and can speak english. Mixed onsen, but the floor of onsen was not even, difficult to walk through.

The hotel has only one advantage near the station, but it is not easy to pull a luggage to the station in heavy snow. The hotel does not provide pick-up and drop-off. It seems that there is no vehicle to send guests outside the snow and the whole snow recently. The hotel is cheap so the Wendian is very simple. One night of dinner was a buffet with more fruit oranges. I ate about four or so. Because I cut so few pieces, the waiter immediately black noodles. I told me not to take it in Japanese. In fact, the food was wasteless. The restaurant would not do this. In fact, I observed a lot of travel and stayed in a nearby hotel. Because it was a holiday, I stayed in Zhongfu first, this hotel is really bad in Laiyunxia.

Ctrip is cheaper than booking so I booked here. At first I was worried that the hotels in Sounkyo are old, but I think this one is okay. The lights are dim, the bathroom is small and old, but the hygiene is good. The main thing is that the hotel dinner is of good quality. Although there are not too many choices, the products are very good (crab legs, steak, tempura, hamburger meat, sashimi, sushi, etc.). If you want to eat outside, you have to walk 15-20 minutes (uphill) to the commercial street, and most of the shops in the commercial street are closed after 15 o'clock. I am not sure if there is food at night. The hot springs are divided into indoor and outdoor, and I went to experience the outdoor hot springs. It is relatively small, but also very quiet. I didn't meet a tour group at the time, and it was quite comfortable with few people. It rained in Sounkyo for a few days when I came, and I had a good sleep in the afternoon of the second day. The sound insulation is okay, and I usually just hear the sound of closing the door.

The location is very good, just opposite the visitor center and the Blackey Ropeway. It is best for climbing. It takes 3 minutes to drive to Hongye Valley and drive to the popular waterfall and Galaxy Waterfall for about 5 minutes. It is very convenient. Morning and evening meals are good, especially at night, the buffet is very good, Japanese sake shochu whisky has, you can also make cocktails. The hot spring is small but of good quality. It is known as the only natural hot spring in Sounkyo. It’s okay to bring a child, three mattresses and four people sleep enough. The overall catch is that the entire layer of Yunyun Gorge (not only this 🏨) style is more old-fashioned, mainly for middle-aged tourists and hikers, feeling more dull. The restaurant waiter also has a nepal brother who has good English and a good service attitude.

Big hotel in Japanese Onsen town. Nice and spacious rooms with river view, big Onsen bath. Buffet meals are only average, random selection of dishes and not best quality (pro tip: stick with Japanese and avoid the Western choices)

The hotel facilities are great. I was a little worried after reading the reviews saying it was old, but it didn't feel old at all. There are foreign workers among the waiters, which is very convenient for communicating in Chinese and English among Hokkaido hotels. The buffet dinner is very good and it is very close to the Kurodake Cable Car.

Not worth the price charged, it’s very old aged room, no maintenance , there’s a hole on seat and the staff sewed it to cover up, as a high class hotel , this should not happen. If the chair cushion spoilt, you should change it instead of sewed it up . The toilet can tell old, turn yellowish . If you need to maintain onsen hotel standard with the price charged, either upgrade the room to better new room or refurbish your old room. Conclusion, it doesn’t worth the cost
