A very special place, situated in the hills within striking distance of the city of Kandy. Built around a British era plantation the highlight is definitely the infinity pool next to the plantation bungalow and the views particularly at sunset, truly spectacular. The rest of the faciiities are luxurious yet understated, highly recommended.

We had the pleasure of attending our Son's and Daughter-in-law's wedding in Simpson's Forest and it was faultless from start to finish. Everything from the food to the accommodation to the facilities was excellent. Namal, Chamara and Wasantha, as well as all the staff looked after us so well, we couldn’t but enjoy our stay. Isuru and his nature walk must also get a mention, as this is something not to be missed. Sri Lanka is a beautiful country and Simpson's Forest does it proud.

I recently had my wedding hosted by Simpson's Forest and from start to finish it was an unbelievable experience. The food, rooms and location are all exceptional. The staff also need a specific mention as the welcome and hospitality could not have been any better. From the day we arrived nothing we asked for was too much. I can't wait to come back.

We stayed at Simpsons for the Easter wedding of our daughter. Everything was perfect. The staff were exceptional, extremely helpful, led by Sachini the manager. The nature walk through the tea plantation was informative and we loved learning from guide Isuru. Guests flew in from Australia and Ireland, London and San Francisco and the coordination of everything by Catherina @srilanka_weddings was spectacular.

Amazing place, kasun took care of us and provided the best service. The place is locates in the middle of the forest, it has an infinity pool and best spa center. We tried one hour massage and it’s a must. The weather in that area is cooler than other cities It’s a must try hotel!!!

Great place to stay with your families and friends with nature tour enjoyed lot Staff are so friendly and received good service from them. Nature tour was very interesting with Isuru and we walked more than a hour to feel the Beaty of Simpson forest

Very very kind team and extraordinary location on top of the hill. I highly recommend the Resort - especially the people working there make your stay truly lovely. Also, the room is super clean and the view is stunning! I should have stayed longer.

This hotel was simply amazing we thoroughly enjoyed our 2 day stay everything about it was incredible even the food was excellent. I would like to say something about ISURU, the naturalist who gave us a personal tour of the hill behind the hotel which included a tea plantation which produces “Simpson tea”. ISURU was absolutely incredible he was so knowledgeable and explained all the names of plants and trees on such a way as to hold our interested throughout the 2hrs or so. I highly recommend anyone staying at this hotel take the tour with ISURU.

This place was amazing all the way from the start where Sachin at front counter politely signed us in and made our daughter feel very comfortable. The rooms were very clean and although we had viewed the place online before we came and the photos looked nice the real view was way better than what can be captured on photos. We made the mistake of not leaving enough time to actually explore the surroundings thinking we would not have much to do in the hotel but next time we come we will definitely spend enough time exploring the surroundings of the actual hotel. We stayed here in off peak time so we were given the option to order whatever we liked for breakfast and dinner. Wasantha and the team In the restaurant made sure all our meal orders and service was five stars. If you’re thinking of staying in Kandy or surrounding in a hotel for luxury, I would easily choose this place to enjoy the scenery and stay away from the hustle and bustle of the main city
