Kaya Residence Kandy

Small guesthouse with pool, very friendly Manager and staff. Charles went out of his way to make my stay a pleasant one. The guesthouse is located close to Kandy city center. Room very spacious with large balcony overlooking the pool. Wish I could have stayed longer.

Lovely hotel with antique furnishings. Swimming pool and garden are delightful . Rooms are spacious and very quiet with great views. Hotel is situated on a hill just outside town but easy enough to get a tuk tuk to visit. Owner and staff are polite and friendly and will go out of their way to make your stay a memorable experience. Breakfast and dinner are plentiful and chef makes an outstanding curry. They will help to arrange tours and transport and nothing is too much trouble. Highly recommend this great boutique hotel.

Fantastic old style colonial property with lovely finishes and furnishings. Staff were fabulous and very helpful in arranging transport, trips etc. Nothing was too much trouble. Tasty traditional Sri Lankan breakfast.

Semi-boutique/Home stay type hotel. The stay was 2 nights (29th and 30 April 2023) Location: The location is very convenient. We had a bit of a tuff time while going to the hotel on the first day due to a cricket match at the Asgiriya Grounds. Spectators are on the road and chilling in the vehicles parked by blocking the road. There is only one access road. Before you book, better to check with the hotel about the criket match schedule of the Asgiriya Grounds. That deive was really annoying and it took nearly 20 mins to drive 1 km to the hotel from the main road. Parking is convenient, two parking slots avaiable, however, 4 vehicles can be parked. Place: Very calm and quiet place. My kids enjoyed the freedom as we were the only guest at the hotel. cleanliness is well maintained. Nicely furnished with a great collection of antiques. Family rooms are quite spacious, and kids got ample space to play even inside the room. The bathrooms are clean and good. Hot water is available. Staff: The staff is really helpful, flexible, polite and kind-hearted. They are very new to the hotel and definitely need a professional touch. As per the owner they have renovated the hotel and started very recently. Food: They mainly prefer to serve local meals such as rice and curry and basic Chinese food such as fried rice, Noodles,chopsies, and devels. overall food is tasty, but not outstanding. No Wi-Fi is available and as per the owner, they will start it soon. Didnt use the TV and cannot comment on that type of entertainment. The mobile signal reception is really good for both data and voice. (We had Dialog and Mobitel.)
