Tamanashi Onsen Ebisuya

I stayed at Tamanashi Onsen Ebisuya. Best of all, I felt comfortable with the homely hospitality of the staff. For dinner, we had delicious wild vegetables, salt-grilled sweetfish with the most plump belly* I've ever seen, and we also had kozuyu (soup) made with local ingredients. We enjoyed delicious wild vegetables and tempura, along with local alcohol. The rooms have also been renovated and are comfortable. With a private bath, you can have the hot spring all to yourself for 40 minutes, but sometimes you can also have the large bath all to yourself. You can take a bath in the hot springs 24 hours a day. Recommended.

I stayed for consecutive nights.・Access: We were picked up from Aizu Kawaguchi Station according to the train. About 10 minutes to the inn. There is also a route bus that runs from the station (get off at the Aizu Bus "Tamanashi Hachimachi Onsen" bus stop), and the inn is right in front of the bus stop. Please note that there are only 3 flights per day.・Accommodation: I stayed in a Japanese-style room with a toilet, but it didn't have a washing machine. Although the building is showing its age, it was well maintained. There is no elevator. The room had everything including air conditioner and TV. It may depend on the room, but the Wifi signal was weak and unstable at times. The environment was nice with the river right in front of us. However, the sound of the river is so loud that you might have trouble falling asleep unless you get used to it. Also on display was a watercolor painting of a kappa handwritten by Shigeru Mizuki. This is said to have been painted when he stayed here about ten years ago.・Hot spring: There is a private bath "Moon and Sun Bath" and an indoor bath. It is said to be a carbonated spring, but when I visited, I didn't see many carbonated bubbles. Both baths were hot, but the indoor bath was easier to soak in.・Meals (dinner): We ate in the large hall (with sufficient distance between each other). It was a very delicious and fulfilling menu. We enjoyed unique dishes such as fried soba, konnyaku/yuba sashimi, and horse sashimi.・Hospitality: This is a family-run business, and the host is a friendly person, so if you communicate with him, your stay will be even more enjoyable.・Surrounding attractions: On the second night, I rented an electric bicycle from the "Kaneyama Tourist Information Center" inside Kawaguchi Station and took the route from Kawaguchi Station to Roadside Station "Kaneyama" to Seseragi-so (a day-trip hot spring facility). I went around. Seseragi-so is a few minutes walk from Ebisuya. Renting a bicycle was 500 yen for 3 hours, and 500 yen to drop off at Seseragi-so, for a total of 1,000 yen. At first, the host of the inn took me to the station. First, take National Route 252 from the station and go to the roadside station ``Kaneyama'' at the viewpoint ``Kaneyama Fureai Hiroba'' where you can take photos of Tadami Line trains (about 2 minutes by train from Kawaguchi Station towards Aizuwakamatsu). distance). It takes about 30 minutes from the roadside station to Seseragi-so. 3 hours in total was enough.
