This is very much a mixed bag. On the plus side: - The villa condos are large, spacious, very modern and well-maintained. - The lanai or veranda is very nice. - You have a great view of the ocean (albeit in the distance). On the minus side: - Per above, you are quite a ways away from the ocean with a healthy walk down to the beach. - Beyond a swimming pool, there are really no other guest amenities on site. Also, no restaurant or snack bar or food of any kind. (This is really a condo complex; not a resort.) We were supposed to be here for seven nights. Midway through that stay, we woke up to a major racket outside our unit. Without any kind of notice to us, they were power-washing our building and walkways as well as the two buildings nearest to ours. Upon inquiry, we were told this this would go on for three full days - the balance of our week. This was untenable and basically made it impossible to enjoy the veranda. It was loud even indoors with windows and doors closed. Not exactly idyllic for an Hawaiian vacation. We quickly made arrangements (and lucked out) to pack-up and move to Napili Kai reach resort for our final three days. Back to the positive side, the representatives of Quam Properties (through which we had booked this reservation) were understanding and supportive...and refunded the final three nights of our stay at Kapalua Bay Villas without question.
