Great location to get to Karlstejn Castle. Given a warm welcome on arrival. Room clean and bed comfortable. Be aware the attached cafe closes at 4.30/5 in November as do all the nearby restaurants so eat early or bring food with you. Although there isn't a manned bar there is a well stocked communal area.

We had a nice time in Hotel Karlstejn on a very wet and windy weekend. We were warm welcomed with a tasty drink. Rooms are nicely decorated and I slept very well. Breakfast was also very good. The location straight beneath the mountain with the fortress is excellent. Good parking space was very appreciated.

We visited Hotel Karlstejn for the secon time and we hope not for the last time. Nice, smilling and helpful staff, clean rooms, great brekfast. Location, views, atmosphere all great. Pool with a fabulous view. We recommend spending the night in Karlstejn. Brigita

My Sister and I stayed at the Karlstejn Spa hotel as a base for our cycling holiday. What a warm friendly welcome we received. All the staff were wonderful. They went out their way to make our holiday special. Even cleaned our very muddy bikes, which we were not expecting. Breakfast was delicious. Lovely and fresh. Over all a lovely clean hotel in a very special setting. One piece of advice. All the cafes and restaurants close very early when the Castle closes. So best to plan your day/meals around this.

I was very happy with the hotel , I stayed for 3 nights, the breakfast was excellent many choices , the two girls working there were so good and very polite and offered different options for Breakfast, the hotel was spotless very clean , the girls / staff there were very caring and always available to answer any questions...I would recommend Hotel Karlstjen to anyone visiting the area ... excellent location Brian

Great little hotel. Loved the staff, service and room. Pool and view was fantastic. Perfect way to end our trip and only took half an hour by car to get to the Prague airport to catch our flight - way better than staying at overpriced airport hotels.

Amazing stay! Great and heartwarming welcome, stuff is amazing and helpful, breakfast was variable and fresh, handmade coffee saved my day! i have no words for Spa and pool area, quiet and comfortable and view is stunning!

The hotel is well located and has its own parking. Warm pool and hot whirlpool - a complete delight! Near the pool there is a toilet, a shower and a pleasant self-service bar, on request the hotel provides bathrobes and slippers. To the pool you need to climb the stairs quite high, but it's worth it - swimming in warm water with a view of the castle, when only the singing of birds is heard around - it's wonderful. We also booked a sauna, the whole family (4) was crowded there, but for two it was fine. It is a pity that there is no place to rest from the heat near the sauna - only a shower, toilet and a chair. The rooms were clean and comfortable with a view of the castle. After 18 o'clock the city in this part freezes - all shops and almost all restaurants are closed, there is silence around. Great vacation! Thanks to the hotel staff - very welcoming and friendly. We will definitely recommend your hotel to all our friends, and we will try to return to you ourselves.

Small , lovely family run hotel with very friendly staff. Only stayed overnight but if you can it is probably better to stay minimum of 2 or 3 days and explore the local area if the weather is nice using the bikes and walking / hiking in the delightful countryside. Nice pool with super view of the castle and useful "honesty box" room where you can get a coffee , alcoholic drink or snacks and write on the board what you have used - ideal as in the evening outside of the peak season there really isn't much to do here and most cafes and restaurants are closed. Delicious "continental" style breakfast with very nice coffee (pictured).
