Thank you for the hospitality during my stay. Everything was comfortable and well taken care of, and I truly appreciated the friendly atmosphere throughout. I had a great time exploring the island visiting local villages, enjoying the beach, and taking in the beautiful natural scenery. Unbelievable place and island. We were surrounded by smiles and happiness throughout our stay and were deeply touched by everyone working there The foundation does an amazing job, giving excellent opportunity and teaching to young adults. Just feels so much nicer, knowing everything you spend helps supporting these wonderful people. Close by is a beatiful beach which we had to ourselfs whenever we went there. Fully recommend

We received wonderful hospitality from the student staff and their supervisors! Staying within the hospitality school campus was a novel and refreshing experience. We liked how the property coexists within nature, also calling out a very well-executed dining experience, especially the packed lunches we received for our day tours. Finally, we were honoured to be able to support the Sumba Hospitality Foundation towards building local livelehoods, through our stay - thank you everyone at Maringi for a lovely Sumba vacation!

Not sure where to start with our stay, it was an UNBELIEVEABLE experience. Never had one like it and I highly recommend that you stay here. Not only is this resort beautiful, but those that are serving the guests are students of the Sumba Hospitatlity Foundation, learning their job as they go. They are the most incredible human beings and so are their teachers. Our room was beautiful and kept clean, the food was outstanding! You do have to have a level of patience and compassion and if you do then you will really love it here being surrounded by the most courageous and keen people I have ever come across. Never have I left a resort with tears in my eyes having become very attached to Sumba's beauty and the students who made our stay unforgettable. We have left feeling inspired and grateful and can't wait to return!

We loved every second of our stay at Maringi. The accommodation in the unique bamboo pavilions, the organic and mostly self-grown food, and the services were extraordinary. We were amazed by all the details, from the adorable towel animals to the birthday surprise cake and singing. It was truly marvelous at Maring’s! If you are in Sumba, try to stay a few days at Maringi. It is totally worth it and highly recommended.

Maringi Sumba is one of the best experiences we as a family have ever had - both as a holiday and cultural experience. We are a family of five (parents + kids aged 7, 11 and 14) visiting Sumba as part of island hopping in Indonesia for a month. We spent three nights here. The place, food and hospitality itself is excellent, but what really makes this place stand out is the warmth, skills and smiles of all the students. We had countless great experiences that we will remember for ever. The island itself is worth visiting as there are a lot of interesting cultural experiences (local villages) and beautiful sights, but we would happily visit Sumba again just to stay at Maringi. It has our highest recommendations.
