We drove back to Kashgar from the Pamir Plateau for nearly 5 hours. When we arrived at the hotel exhausted, we were greeted by two beautiful and elegant bosses who took us to the restaurant for welcome afternoon tea. The fragrant tea immediately relieved my fatigue. The room was more than satisfactory than expected. Since there were not many guests during our stay, it felt like we had booked the whole place. Wake up in the century-old former Russian Consulate, enjoy a delicious and nutritious breakfast under the grape trellis. After dinner, the children like to hang out in the small library that is like a secret room, and then go back under the grape trellis to play with the kittens. Everything seems so comfortable. In the evening, the hotel owner professionally explained the history of the hotel to us, just like a bedtime story, which gave me a deeper feeling and made me completely immersed in this feast of Kashgar’s century-old history.

We went there for the former site of the Russian Consulate. Very well protected. It is quiet in a bustling city, and the grapes in the garden are almost ripe. Friends who come in August can definitely choose this place.

The Kashgar episode focused on the adventure story of Sven Hedin, and of course the Tsarist Russian Consulate could not be avoided. When the children saw the house they were in at the moment appeared in the story, they were stunned. A wonderful coincidence.
