This hotel has the convenience of a newer and modern accommodation but the rooms keep a little bit of the traditional "ryokan" feel to them, which I found wonderful. Everything was super clean (spotless) and the staff was very very helpful. The view from my room was fantastic. Would definitely stay here again.

To get to the reception lobby, you first go up to the 5th floor to check in, then take a separate elevator to your room. The facilities are a little old-fashioned.
The location was easy to find, but the parking lot was hard to find. I stayed on a weekday, so it was fine, but if you stay on the weekend or during busy periods, you have to parallel park on a slope, which is inconvenient. I only stayed overnight, so I had a hard time finding a place to eat nearby.
I liked that there was a large public bath and that the rooms overlooked the Sea of Japan.

I was surprised when the man at the parking lot told me not to take the spot even though I was staying there that day! ️
The view was beautiful and the room was spacious enough for a family to sleep in.
The hospitality of the parking lot attendant was not good.

靠近飯店停車車位偏少,燈光偏暗,停車需小心謹慎,飯店硬體設備老舊,泡湯水質一般,早餐普通,如果未預訂晚餐需自行解決,但是吃完晚餐回飯店停車又是問題,所幸房間有披薩電話可以外送,整體評估不會再次入住

The website and reality are so far apart. I was looking forward to going there because it said there was a restaurant, but they said they didn't have room for dinner....I asked if there was a restaurant nearby and they said I had to go into town. I couldn't make a reservation because the restaurant was closed. They also explained that I had to pay in advance and I only heard about it after I'd paid...isn't that a scam? It's not on the website and I didn't even go to the room, I just returned the key and checked out. Isn't this a scam, inviting me on the website? I quickly made a reservation at the Nikko Hotel Niigata and came to Niigata. Should I report this to the consumer center?
