My photography skills are not very good, but the environment and service staff are really nice and enthusiastic. The environment is very quiet, just two minutes away from Nungwi Beach. It can be reached quickly.

Nungwi Garden Boutique hotel, is a small place, well-run, with a pleasant green garden as its name implies and well-maintained pool. The staff are friendly and helpful and there is space to park your car off the street if you have your own transport. The location is excellent if you are a beach-lover, as the main, very popular beach is about 5 minutes walk away. This is huge, extending south to Kendwa and north around to the lighthouse, past small resorts, where it is much quieter. Breakfasts were OK, with enough choice. There is an ATM just down the lane and plenty of shops and restaurant at any beyond the huge parking square. Our only real problem, was the bed, which is located in a recess on a concrete base where it is easy to bang your toes. Also the huge high-quality TV doesn’t receive terrestrial or satellite, so we ended up watching YouTube videos and missing the news.

The location is fantastic. The hotel has its own restaurant, but if you want a variety, there are several restaurants around the corner. There is an ATM and a currency exchange office opposite the hotel. You can reach the fantastic beach in a maximum of 2 minutes on foot. The rooms were large, spacious and well cooled with air conditioning in combination with a ceiling fan. They were clean and our rooms even had a fridge where you could cool your water to drink it cold. The breakfast was a mix between the intercontinental cuisine and some local African delicacies. There was no abundance, but there was absolutely what you needed for a good start to the day. The beach around the corner with its crystal clear water is just as nice as in the pictures. However, Zanzibar has very annoying and pushy salespeople, which of course drags down the experience of relaxing on the beach.

It’s a quite small hotel (18 rooms I think) and the rooms are very spacious. Could use some renovation throughout. We changed to another room after the first night because the AC didnt work well, it wasn’t very clean and the sewage in the bathroom was smelly.But the staff was very accomodating overall. We had half board. Breakfast is ok, although the service is incredibly bad when it comes to such things as cutlery, china, and glasses. You have to ask for everything, although there is plenty of staff just waiting. Lunch was really tasty, but soooo slow. You can order and then go for a swim! 😊

A calm, relaxing hotel with warm staff and good food. The rooms were clean and spacious and it was a 2 minute walk to the beach with lots of great restaurants nearby. It has a lovely pool, not that we used it when the beach was so close, and a chilled vibe. We also felt extremely safe here. A fabulous little find!!

We like to find something special on every trip, not the big hotels, and we got lucky. Such a friendly staff that made us feel at home. The reception staff was all smiles and did make our stay even better with all their help on excursions and surroundings. Gabriel was our best waiter of our whole trip, and for dinner its no need to go somewhere else because the food was super. All the best from Iceland Hanna and fam❤️

The hotel is located close to the Nungwi beach and had the amenities we needed - swimming pool, breakfast buffet, wifi etc. For a mid-range hotel, it does the job. The employees went over and beyond in ensuring our comfort and we had what we needed.
