Moja Tuu the Luxury Villas & Nature Retreat

LASTMINUTE is very efficient in promoting hotels like the Moja Tuu LUXURY villas retreat 4 stars in Zanzibar with an all-inclusive formula. Magnificent photos and complimentary texts. So we trusted LASTMINUTE. Unfortunately, as soon as we arrived at Moja Tuu, reality caught up with us. We were in fact at the Moja Tuu CALAMITY villas between zero and one star. From the first day we found ourselves without electricity and water in a dilapidated hotel that did not meet hygiene and safety standards. We immediately asked LASTMINUTE to change hotels. LASTMINUTE curtly asked us to sort it out with the hotel. Despite numerous reminders, we have not heard back from our dear tour operator. To describe the hotel to you, nothing better than photos to compare with the photos on the LASTMINUTE website dating from its creation (Day and night!). The toilets when there was water only worked halfway (no pressure in the shower, the plugs no longer held the water for shaving etc.). The facilities were old and dirty, the clean towels were stained and torn. (See photos) We had to ask for toilet paper and hand towels. We are already far from 4 star LUXURY. The room was poorly maintained, stains on the walls, curtains, bedding. LASTMINUTE promised us unlimited access to a buffet on a splendid terrace where there was a bar to spend friendly moments around a cocktail, drink an espresso, play table football. The 2 bars of the hotel have been disused for a long time. The magnificent terrace is now used as a clothes dryer. The espresso machine has been replaced by a kettle. (Undrinkable instant coffee) In 10 days not the shadow of a buffet, not the slightest cocktail. The à la carte service in a poorly maintained restaurant was disastrous. The menu was very limited with dishes not available for the entire ten days. For the first time in my life I ate the same dessert for lunch and dinner for 10 days (Fruit salad) the other 2 desserts were pitiful. I had to make do with 3 starters Green salad, Avocado salad and Octopus salad. We had to grumble to get 4 bottles of bad South African wine in 10 days. It took between 1h30 and 2h to be served while there were 5 of us the first week and 2 the last three days in the dining room. So timing problems for the excursions!! There were more stray cats crying out for food and climbing on the tables than customers. The cats were also the only real entertainment out of the 2 per week promised by LASTMINUTE. The beach 2 km from the hotel was accessible to us as promised thanks to a shuttle. LASTMINUTE simply forgets to specify on its site that access is subject to consumption at the partner hotel (Cost of €100). The swimming pool was dilapidated and poorly maintained. The p

Ho prenotato in questa struttura tramite tour operator abbastanza famoso verso il quale sto aspettando di fare una recensione solo per capire se mi rimborseranno o meno. Arrivata in struttura mi è stata data una stanza che puzzava di gatti e di sporco. Inoltre, le condizioni della stanza e del bagno erano pessime (allego foto). Il condizionatore mi faceva piovere acqua addosso mentre tentavo di dormire.Ho chiesto di cambiare stanza ma, purtroppo, sono tenute nello stesso modo e puzzano di qualcosa che non si capisce se siano gatti o sporco. Le foto che pubblicizzavano la struttura erano meravigliose. La realtà è ben altra. Penso sia sufficiente allegare le foto. In ogni caso, la struttura è praticamente quasi dismessa (piscine mezze vuote, rotte, sporco, gatti randagi ovunque). La spiaggia è inaccessibile. Era scritto in una recensione. Mettono a disposizione una navetta con la quale puoi andare in spiaggia e tornare massimo alle 17. Peccato che ti portano dove dicono loro e paghi 20 € per stare sul lettino. La prima notte è saltata la corrente (cosa che capita spesso a Zanzibar).peccato che l'hotel non possiede evidentemente dei generatori di emergenza e sono stata dalle 23 di sera alle 8 del Mattino senza corrente (e, pertanto, senza caricare telefono, condizionatore e wifi). Nel frattempo, cercando di far passare un pochino di aria ovviamente è entrato un gatto randagio e con la torcia del telefono ho cercato di trovarlo per mandarlo via. Non ho nulla contro i gatti, ma non penso che dovrebbero entrare nella stanza. Il personale non capisce praticamente nulla in quanto gente locale che Usa il traduttore con la loro lingua perché hanno difficoltà a parlare inglese, salvo qualcuno che,però, non era presente in struttura quando ho avuto bisogno (tipo quando é saltata la corrente) La seconda notte si è rotta la porta e ho dormito con la porta che poteva aprirsi tranquillamente da fuori. Dopo 48 ore mi sono arrangiata per trovare una nuova sistemazione perché non potevo stare lì e rovinarmi una vacanza (pagato 1600€ compreso i voli). Mi auguro solo che questa recensione possa aiutare chiunque ad evitare questa struttura.
