I stayed here with breakfast included when I visited Shimoda. The selling point of this inn is the facilities and equipment that are thoroughly designed for families with children. The hot spring has a bath for children, there are rooms for families with children, and there are many toys available, all of which can be borrowed for free. My 9-month-old daughter's eyes lit up as she played with the large number of toys in the room. There are very few hot spring inns that are child-friendly, and they often charge a reasonable price, but this inn is good value for money in that sense. The only drawbacks are that there is no refrigerator in the room, so you have to use a shared refrigerator a little distance away, and the stairs at the entrance are a bit steep, but these are minor issues, and overall it is one of the best inns for families with children I have stayed at.
