Even if Gables is a wee bit off the beaten track I'd say it's actually located in the heart of Speyside whisky country. With easy access in any direction to famous distilleries , the legendary Queen of all salmon rivers in Scotland, River Spey, and the charming Speyside villages, Gables must be considered as a solid base for exploring this region. With Sibette and Anne Jan as your hosts, you are in deed in safe hands. When it comes to level of service there aren't many around who can compete with their standard. Always with the guest in focus, casual in style, but still very professional, you only have to enjoy your stay at Gables. The place is impeccable clean and the rooms are truly comfortable with a decor which will blow the whisky enthusiast off the track. There are plenty of detail for the observant eye in this B&B and the host has an obvious weak spot for electronically finesse. There is an impressive choice of single malts on offer in the lounge in the main building, and there is even a cigar lounge in a cozy cabin just a few steps away from the walls of the B&B. The breakfast served at Gables will give you a solid kick off for your adventures in Speyside and further afield. Even an evening meal can be cocked for you so you don't need to rush to Dufftown or Aberlour in order to fill your belly. Our mini whisky team from Norway have now stayed at Gables two times, and from the three of us to the hosts Sibette and Anne Jan. Thanks a lot for running such a brilliant place.
