Stayed for two nights The whole place especially the rooms are kept immaculate. Staff are friendly, professional and courteous. They are an asset to the hotel. Five star service. Food is delicious we had king prawn and haddock Thermidor first night and fillet steak on second night. Both were exemplary. Lovely grounds too Just can’t fault it

This was our second visit to the Lodge this year. The first time, we travelled as a couple, and had a lovely time. Second time around, what I thought was a similar trip, turned out to be a group of couples all meeting up as a surprise for me. We were made very very welcome from the minute we arrived. The bar staff were super helpful and happy to accommodate lunch requests with a smile. We spent the afternoon in the bar, enjoying the ambience and getting to know some of the locals. We had dinner in the restaurant and again the service was excellent, all requests being met with a smile. On to the evening and back to the bar to re-engage with the locals. Once again, service was excellent. It was great to see a couple of the hard working house staff also join in after their shifts. At breakfast the next day, we were treated like old friends as we enjoyed the hearty fare. Set in lovely garden grounds this really is a hidden gem with very reasonable prices. Whilst some of the furniture is a little dated, this really only added to the charm. Everything was spotlessly clean. The staff make this place, they really are lovely and treat people as friends rather than customers. Even the chef made time to come talk to everyone. We’ll definitely be back!

Everything about this place was superb from start to finish. From the huge room, to the welcoming bar atmosphere, the quality food to the value for money, everything was perfect. Above all, the staff were the shining stars of the venue. Everyone seemed genuinely interested in being helpful and friendly. Service was really good at all points making it a really pleasant stay. Our only regret was only having one night.

We visited this place, whilst in the area, it was such a lovely place, in the country with lovely reviews and what a letdown!! We arrived around teatime and asked for our room, it was the studio with the queen size bed, that was not what we walked up the stairs to!! There was a dirty towel in the shower, dirty dishes in the sink, rubbish in the bin and the bed was all messed up, IT HADNT BEEN SERVICED!! We went back and were told to go the bar for a complimentary drink, we sat outside for what ended up nearly an hour, we had another drink and eventually chased up a member of staff who told us, the room wasn’t ready yet, this wasn’t good enough!! After another wee while, we got back into our place, it was better and cleaned, but there were things missing like plates cups and cutlery, odd as we had a microwave and hot plate, so we could cook or heat something up, but nothing to eat it with, we asked for cups to use our kettle and tea making bits, but I’m sorry we won’t be back, it wasn’t a queen size bed, just a plain double which was as hard as a board, we ate before we came so I don’t know bout the food, it’s such a shame after reading great reviews too

Warm friendly welcome on arrival. Good clean room, lovely modern bathroom. The service and food in therestaurant was really really good, and fairly priced. 4/5 due to the numerous narks on the room wall where the paint's been damaged - a minor thing for me.

Excellent evening out with friends to the Bennachie Lodge . Not been for a while and very glad we came back. Service was very friendly helpful and efficient. Nothing too much for them. Food all delicious. King prawn starters and Tournedos Rossini got top marks closely followed by the Chicken Maryland . We’re going back soon .

We came for breakfast on Sunday with our friends. The breakfast menu was quite limited in their choice of offerings. Three of our group decided on the full breakfast and I had the eggs and sausages (this should have been bacon but they swapped it over for me. We ordered a pot of tea but had to ask for a pot of boiling water as the tea was quite strong. The breakfasts came without too much of a wait but I was underwhelmed with the scrambled eggs I had, they tasted ok but were a pale brownish colour not pale yellow as you would expect so this was slightly off putting. We’ve been at the Bennachie lodge before for evening meals but wouldn’t hurry back for breakfast. In saying that, the young waitress girl was very polite and attentive to our needs so no complaints there.

We stayed at this hotel for the weekend. The room are not bad. On Saturday I had the breakfast omelette and toasts it was bit funny taste. I notice that the chef isnt work in the morning doing for the brekkie. I was puzzle how the staff cook it as well the reception etc. My friend just found out that they take the clamshell box out of the fridge in the reception and then put it in the microwave, I was appalled and wonder how old the omelette in clamshell box. On Saturday two men checked the clamshell in the fridge make me feel sick I wonder any people touch it before I ate it, so I took photos of those. I would advise you all DON'T EAT THE BREAKFAST AT THIS HOTEL. its not hygiene because people still touch it. Also I asked the staff where is the cutlery so staff point this one box. I have to search the fork and knives but they are mixed in one box so how many people touch those???? On Sunday we went to local breakfast it was superb, I was disappointed that the hotel downhill so in the 10 years ago we went there, it was amazed but not now. Friday night staff was bit rude, tell us to leave the bar room but we are stay at the hotel? i am sorry we will not come back to the hotel again as one staff was upset to my friend about the booking room
