Mains of Taymouth Country Estate Gallops Apartments

Stayed at Granary court for 1 week over the New Year period. We had a number of issues with the house which I reported to reception. Firstly you don’t get access to the property until 4pm to allow them to do there final checks yet when we entered the house the radiator in the main bedroom upstairs wasn’t working, the toilet off the utility room locking mechanism left a lot to be desired, the upstairs shared bathroom has a toilet with half a flushing button and the inside shelves in the wardrobes and bedside cabinet hasn’t seen a duster in a long time. We also discovered a cob web above the cooker and generally not very clean. The heating and hot water stopped working twice, the ground floor kitchen is very cold as the doors have drafts! Hot tub need some maintenance as not working at capacity. Beds were comfortable and kitchen area was well kitted out. Over priced in my opinion for what we got and the issues we were faced with. I think you need to revisit your entry and exit times for all properties and rethink the need to stay for 1 week over the festive period.

Our third time at Mains of Taymouth this year. We have stayed in the Bell Tower, 12B Maxwells and 11 Maxwells. Each time we have had good weather, although that does not matter so much in such a peaceful place. The whole area is exceptional, with everything kept in tip-top condition. Booking is easy and staff are always on hand. The Courtyard Shop and Restaurant are right on the doorstep, along with walks in all directions. The new Crannog is just minutes away.

Another perfect stay at Mains of Taymouth. Since our first visit in 2014 we have been returning several times a year every year. The location and standard of accommodation is hard to beat. The staff are extremely friendly and nothing is ever a problem. Highly recommended!

We have visited Mains of Taymouth regularly for a number of years staying in many of the different properties. All the accomodation is first class, the staff super friendly and welcoming and the location idyllic. We have 2 further visits booked for this year, which tells you everything about what we think of the place. Just a stunning place to holiday.

We’re a group of girls (60yr) and we were there to celebrate 3 birthdays, the Farmhouse was the very best place to stay for any celebrations, a good size with a good kitchen to cook all our meals, it was also good that we could have our shopping delivered there too, some of us went for a few walks too, the house, area and weather was perfect and we’ll definitely return sometime in the near future

Love Kenmore and Mains of Taymouth. We stayed in The Gallops from 15th to 18th Feb and we try to return to the same apt. Always spotless and warm on arrival. You get Kenmore Shortbread in your accommodation and they give you Kenmore Tablet on departure. The courtyard bar / restaurant is lovely and we always eat there at least once. The Waterfront restaurant at The Kenmore club is just across the road and really lovely too. Love walking when we are there, the weather just dosen’t matter it’s always relaxing. Look forward to returning on our next visit. I hope when the big hotel opens it dosent push the prices up and we can’t afford to visit.
