The Dunloe Hotel & Gardens

We had such a lovely stay here. Really spacious interconnecting family room. The restaurant has a fantastic vibe and the food was delicious (the steak in particular). Views are outstanding. Our kids were so well looked after in the restaurant, as were us adults. The staff in every part of the hotel go over and above to ensure you have a great stay, they are very friendly and helpful. The facilities are great, fishing, tennis, swimming (amazing pool) and a little horse trek all squeezed in to a couple of days. Just wished we’d stayed for longer! Following our stay we realised my daughter had left her very special toy behind. The porter who took my original call about “Piggy” being missing, through to the staff member that arranged to post her back to us the next morning, couldn’t have been more helpful. A flawless experience from beginning to end.

There are not enough words to express how amazing the Dunloe Hotel & Gardens is. We were extremely lucky to find this hidden gem in the Gap of Dunloe over a year ago, fall in love with it & book it for our wedding. From the get go the staff were exceptional and always put us at ease - nothing was ever a bother which immediately reassured us at every point. Our guests have not stopped raving about the grounds, the reception & the staff. Pauline, Jason, Simon & the rest of the team are exceptional. A 5 star hotel that makes you feel right at home. I highly recommend the Dunloe Hotel and Gardens, the service was excellent. The hotel and grounds are beautiful and there are lots of activities to do on site for free, such as horseback riding, fishing, walking trails, tennis, swimming, and touring a restored castle. They even provide any necessary equipment for activities. The staff were very friendly and professional and provided excellent service. The rooms are very nice, updated, comfortable, and very clean and we had beautiful views from our room. The dining room is lovely with amazing views and great food. The bar/lounge was lively and fun with live music and various comfortable seating options for families, small groups, or couples. The hotel is the perfect location for doing the Ring of Kerry, you can start right out of the hotel. It's also close to other local sites - about 10 minutes from Killarney town, the train station, and Muckross National Park. About 20 minutes to Kerry airport. Fabulous hotel with 5 star service!

The restaurant was overbooked and we were told we only had 90 minutes at our table. The only time they could sit us was either 6.30 or 9pm. We had bought a full board package so had paid for the dinner experience in advance. Not what you would expect from a 5 star hotel.

Just back from a stay at the Dunloe Hotel. We stay there because they have a kids club allowing us to dine in the restaurant.Kids club opens from 10 till 12 in the morning and again from 5:30 to 9pm. Check with hotel as I think its open at Easter and weekends. They had an Easter egg hunt this Sunday morning for the kids and they loved it. They also got a large egg each! The family rooms are very big with the kids having a separate sleeping room connected to ours.Every room has a balcony so try pick the gap view rooms as the view is better I think.These rooms do cost a little more but I think worth it. Food it excellent in the hotel and staff are great. Britta in the bar couldn't do enough for you.Jack was on hand for all our needs. Just to note there is currently no hot food served in the bar. Rico,Darragh and Grainne I must mention for the way they looked after us and especially Bart in the restaurant.As the restaurant manager he has alot to look after but he took the time to look after us again and made sure everything was just right. Some new staff this year like Adrian giving the restaurant a different feel. Would I stay again? Absolutely, a great hotel where families and guest are treated very well with a relaxed atmosphere. Just on location its outside Killarney so you would need to drive or get a taxi if you want to go into Killarney. Lastly the general manager Jason is on hand and always willing to help his staff out serving guests. This is great to see and definitely leads by example. Always has time to talk to you no matter what.

We first visited the Dunloe in July 2023. Our 3 year old had such a great time she never stopped talking about the Otel so we booked a return visit for 3 nights. The hotel is just beautiful, the scenery, decor, food are all fabulous. All the staff we encountered on both stays were so friendly but also excellent at what they did. We had a family room so had 2 rooms interlinked which meant when the children were asleep in their room we could relax &enjoy a cocktail in ours without being afraid of waking them. Bob down at the stables is a gem. He was so friendly to our little girl she had been talking about Mindy the horse since our first visit. She was delighted to lead her out of the stables in the morning & get to have a little trot around the yard which made her stay. The pool is lovely, stunning views from it &plenty of fresh fluffy towels. I enjoyed a massage on one visit which was so relaxing. The food is exceptional at the Dunloe. Amazing selection for breakfast. We had a light bite to eat in the bar &enjoyed dinner in the restaurant. Both service &quality of food were what you would expect from a 5 star hotel. Looking forward to visiting the Dunloe again
