The overall ambiance and service of Bungalows is unsurpassed! You’re treated as if you’re the only guest(s) on the property. Once you pull up, your every need is anticipated and met. Check-in was seamless and stress free. The tiki punch offered at the associates desks doesn’t hurt either!! When the staff opens the gates to take you on a tour and to your bungalow, it’s like you’re in a different world. The entire property was spotless and immaculately maintained. Neither my husband nor I have ever felt such soft, luxurious bathrobes! The bathroom was spacious with a wonderful, relaxing shower. Having a garden bungalow, we also had an outside shower. The main room was equipped with an abundance of charging stations, plenty of drawer and closet space and just an overall feeling of relaxed homeyness. The beds are super comfy with fantastic pillows! I’m a pillow snob, and these met my picky criteria!! Nightly turndown service with goodies is provided unless it’s not wanted. The one extra water excursion we took was the tiki boat ride. Our “Captain,” Chris, was super friendly and knowledgeable about Florida Bay and the Key Largo area! It was a lovely, relaxing afternoon jaunt. The grounds are incredibly well equipped for swimming, sun bathing or just hanging out under an umbrella. Should you choose to not walk or ride the bicycles provided with your bungalow, you may call the front desk and someone will come get you with a smile. West took care of us so incredibly well during our stay!! The only area (in my opinion) that wasn’t up to the overall standard was the food. The food was good, but not what you would expect for the cost of a stay at Bungalows. Again, the service was spot on. The food, however, just didn’t meet up. Ben, in Bogie & Bacall’s, was an excellent server with well trained assistants. One’s water glass would only get a fraction of an inch low in the glass when it was being refilled. Empty dishes didn’t sit on your table a minute too long. Each course was perfectly timed and served. One of the soups offered the evening we ate at B&B’s was an asparagus soup. It was probably the best thing we had next to the yogurt/berry/granola parfait for breakfast one day we didn’t want to get out early. Coming from a foody family and for the cost of a stay here, the food was very disappointing. Even with my gripe about the food, the overall experience was excellent. I would certainly recommend it for a couple wanting away.
