Fairfield by Marriott Hotels in Key West

Nice place. Great location. Friendly staff. Comfortable room. Parking is NOT included. I'm a bit annoyed about that because I didn't find anything about that when reserving the room. I even called and left a message on the concierge line asking about parking but never got a callback.

There is no 24-hour room service. If I need tissues and toothpaste at night, I was told that I need to drive to the front desk to get it. It takes 5 minutes to drive from the front desk to the room.

The hotels in the United States are all beautifully built and the pools are large. Very comfortable, the child played for a long time. The interior of the room is indeed incomparable with domestic ones. Parking is free. The beds are one meter five. Sleeping with children is not wide enough.

Hotel was clean and staff was friendly. Hotel took necessary precautions due to Covid, including no housekeeping during our visit. However, the front desk staff communicated by text to ensure we had no needs during our stay. They were very responsive to our texts as well.

The location of the hotel is good, right by the sea, there is a shuttle bus to downtown every hour, but it's a long walk. Hotel facilities are just like simple and fast hotels.

This is a photogenic resort that doesn't quite live up to its projected image. There are basically four small pools, each surrounded by an outdoor ”room” made up of lovely subtropical plants. While this is quite nice, the resort has many, many guests, and you may have to pool hop a bit to find one that hasn't been taken over already. As well, the pools close at ”sunset” with no warning. My family was locked into the pool area by staff while there was still about an hour of daylight. Not only was the policy ridiculous--most hotel pools are open well into the night--but the arbitrary definition of sunset and the staff's decision to lock the gates and leave without a word to us was bizarre. We had a two-bedroom, two-bath apartment-style accommodation with a balcony. No real issues with this, but we thought (based on photos) that were booking a space with hardwood floors and received carpet. The furniture was basic rather than high-end, and it felt like the website exaggerated the quality of the rooms and furnishings to make it match the price. Another thing they don't tell you is that your balcony will be quite close to the next one, and you will consequently be able to hear your neighbors arguing, smell their cigarette smoke, etc. It's definitely not comfortable to use the balcony at the same time as a neighbor. We like the water views and the comfortable hammocks. As well, despite the drawbacks of this place, most rental rooms available in Key West are teensy-tiny single rooms barely bigger than a bed. It was nice to have sufficient space and multiple bathrooms, but I wasn't really into the ambience at this resort, especially after dealing with the staff's pool screw-up. Our stay did not feel relaxing after that experience. This place is located on the outskirts of Key West, by the way, but it is fairly close to a few convenient restaurant and shopping options. You can take a rental car into Key West and park for the day, then walk around.

The location is very good, right next to the southernmost scenic spot. The public viewing facilities in the hotel are also readily available, but personally I recommend not to choose those expensive ocean view rooms when booking, because the good views are in the public facilities The view of the room is average, so it is not necessary and the price will be much worse.

The hotel is very beautiful, close to the beach, with its own beach, barbecue bar, etc. It’s great.
