As members of the 20-strong Anglo-Thai Society Regional Tour Group, we visited the most impressive Varni Craft Centre in Phatthalung earlier today. Not knowing what to expect it turned out to be a most enjoyable experience. The Centre itself is modern and has a big range of bags (many for export). It is very well run and the staff could not have been more welcoming. There is also a Homestay which - for anyone visiting here - would be well worth considering.

Had a wonderful stay. Very clean, easy to get to by car. 10 minutes to Talay Noi lake. Friendly team. Swimming pools are lovely. Recommend 100%. We have a quadruple room and a double. The only set back was no fridge or clothes hangers on the double room.

The welcome and kindness of all the staff is just incredible. They served us breakfast for free at 7:30 am (even though they open at 8 am) even though we had only booked the room in the afternoon. A special thank you to Mister X who went out of his way outside of working hours on a Saturday evening to organize our transfer to Kho Phangan (bus/ferry/hotel) for free with formidable efficiency.
