Beautiful rooms and great first night in Kigali. We flew from NY to Nairobi to Kigali and stayed here our first night after our long trip. It was a perfect place to stay for our entry into our trip. Centrally located in the city. The rooms were spectacular with our own heated pools our teenage kids swam in. Indoor and outdoor showers. Apparently our kids stayed in the same suite King Charles stayed in over the summer. The gym here is well equipped and i worked out twice in it. We had breakfast included which was nicely served by the main pool. Make note it included a 30 min massage but you have to book in advance. We were not told this so they were not able to accommodate that amenity for us which was a disappointment that’s why i gave it 4 stars. Also we ate dinner at the hotel and i regret that. The food wasn’t great for dinner, in retrospect we should have tried one of the restaurants in Kigali since it is safe and they have lots of options that have views overlooking the city. Otherwise for the room and gym i highly recommend this hotel.

This is one of the best hotels in all of Kigali. It's a boutique hotel with special charm, wonderful service, beautiful design, and amazing staff. We only stayed one night, but enjoyed every moment of it. Here are our hot tips: Get a room with the outdoor shower. The massage was one of the best we have ever had (she is an artist of deep tissue). The restaurant is where guests from other hotels come because the food is that good.

Excelent hotel, excelent staff, great food, great selections of wine. Is more a resort in the city of Kigali, was a great experience. We had villa no 6, pool vila, 125sqm, exceptional. Would like to mention from Staff Happines and Prince. Thank you.

Absolute luxury. We have never felt so relaxed. We all got 1 hour messages which were the best we ever had. Wonderful staff available to answer any questions and make sure we feel at home. So clean. Great food and drinks. They made everything easy from check in to check out. We cannot wait to come back.

The Retreat facility was amazing and the staff was the best ever. So friendly and helpful. The rooms have a private outdoor space and shower. The food was amazing. Both at the restaurants and room service. I would highly recommend to everyone

A lovely bit of calm and serenity, Heaven Retreat welcomes you immediately! The ambiance is very inviting, the staff warmly welcoming and enthusiastic in their devotion to ensuring the visitor’s needs are met and more! Clean rooms and facilities. The hospitality training model practiced at the Retreat is inspired and inspiring. Young, eager Rwandans are employed, trained, promoted at Heaven and some then move on to the best hotels in Kigali and beyond. An economic and community-building model worthy of support.

What an awesome experience!! The private Villa's are amazing with private heated pools, and an awesome spa experience. I recommend definitely the Retreat! This was my third visit and the friendly staff never disappoints, the best 5-star hotel and spa experience in Rwanda.

We stayed here for two one-night stays on our way to/from gorilla trekking. This is a beautiful property with a killer pool and public spaces located in the hills of Kigali. Our room was comfortable and well-designed. We had a couple of meals on-site, and the food was very good with friendly service. We did have a few minor service snafus around a hotel credit, an issue with the safe in our room, and off-site restaurant reservations. All were resolved, but it seemed to require more energy than we would have expected. But overall a wonderful property.
