We are afforded a "Stop Light" intersection on 1st - during the busier times of the year this is a huge positive in the OBX because those access points have a stop light with a crosswalk to cross N Croatan which can be busy during peak times. Kitty Hawk Bay is due Northwest from our Cabin. We highly recommend you head down that way to the Bay Ave Walking/Biking trail for sunsets at night, but also at anytime during the day because the Bay Drive trail runs along the bay for several miles in each direction. You can use this for walking, running, biking. It also leads to the Avalon Beach Kitty Hawk Bay Boat Launch where you can launch boats, jetskis, canoes, kayaks, etc. Additionally, if you take the trail South, you can actually walk or ride bikes to the Wright Brother's Memorial from the back way along 1st Street.The garage has a secondary fridge for guest use. It is also equipped with at least 6 bikes - sometimes up to 10 for guest use. This newly renovated two-bedroom townhome in the Bermuda Bay community in the center of Kill Devil Hills offers fun for the whole family. In season, the on-site pool complex has shaded cabanas, a lazy river, and a waterslide, plus a volleyball court. The fitness center in the clubhouse is available year-round. The nearest beach access is a 10-minute bike ride or a two-minute drive from the house.The spaceThe first level of living space (located on the second level of the home) offers two bedrooms each with an ensuite attached full bathroom. The master has a queen bed and balcony overlooking the courtyard and the second bedroom has a twin daybed with pullout trundle. The third level features the main living areas with an open concept living room, dining room, and kitchen as well as a half bath and front and backside balconies.Guest accessYou can access all areas of the townhome except for the locked owner's closets.Other things to note:Our unit does not have an assigned parking space. Up to 2 cars can be accommodated, but one car must park in the driveway in front of the garage or in the garage and the second car must park in a space designated "Visitor." DO NOT PARK IN SPACES MARKED FOR OTHER UNITS. As for the Avalon Pier access, if you walk straight down Sportsman to the beach, you can access to the right of the pier entrance!Kitty Hawk Bay is due West from our house down Sportsman. We highly recommend you head down that way for sunsets at night, but also at anytime during the day because the Bay Drive trail runs along the bay for several miles in each direction. You can use this for walking, running, biking, but it also leads to the Avalon Beach Kitty Hawk Bay Boat Launch where you can launch boats, jetskis, canoes, kayaks, etc.The shed in the backyard will have 3-4 bikes for your use. Also in the shed is a Solo stove fire pit for your use (wood not included). We also have a paddle board that we provide at your request.
