LONGINGHOUSE Kyukaruizawa Suwanomori

One of the best hotel I have stayed in Japan recently. The hotel is new and everything is sparkling clean. Rooms are big and comes with luxury perks usually found in 5 stars hotel like L'Occitane toiletries, 60 inch LED TV, manicure sets (free), ice cubes in pre-packed, etc and not to mention the 2 private onsen (need to reserve online). For the price point, this is a steal. It is walking distance to main shopping street though most shops are closed by 5=6pm. Highly recommended and will definitely stay here again.

A very beautiful French hotel in the red leaf season, with rooms scattered on the mountain. This time I stayed in the main building, the room was large and exquisite, the service staff was very professional and polite, breakfast was in the French restaurant, the food was rich, fresh and delicious. It's a pity that I didn't get a French meal for a few nights, I'll try next time.
Hotel Cypress Karuizawa

This hotel is a bit remote to those not driving . But the rate is very reasonable and by taxi is short distance to everywhere near train and outlet for shopping n food . The hotel restaurant for dinner is very good with live music and cost is very reasonable with good service . But you need to do reservation in advance . There is a big supermarket a few steps away that you could buy fresh produce to cook simple meal in your room’s kitchen . The public pool is sufficient and cleanliness is fair . Overall a value for money hotel .

If you come here by car, and want to be close to nature in a quiet place, these small villas are the ideal place! The nearby 711 can buy everything you need for a short-term life. Our family spent two happy days here like a home!

Black Diamond members specially give a thumbs up to Zhang at the front desk 👍 I never have the time to write reviews Today I was touched by Zhang's service The service of Zhang at the front desk can be regarded as the brand of Prince Hotel in Karuizawa The story is like this: ”On the day of check-in, I was overwhelmed by the atmosphere of the shopping mall around Prince Hotel The cabin I booked has a good layout with two rooms, and a living room in the middle, which is more than enough for 3-4 people. When I fell asleep at night, I noticed the noise of the snowmaking machine at the ski resort. I have a very sensitive hearing, so I immediately contacted Ctrip's one-to-one customer service and the hotel front desk, and got a response very quickly. The Japanese night shift staff at the front desk communicated well and considered that it was very late, so they let us stay in the hotel building for one night and adjust the room the next day. The next day, Zhang, a Chinese at the front desk, drove the hotel car to the cabin very coolly to help us move our luggage into the hotel building. It was very friendly to hear Mandarin. Zhang was very patient and carried the luggage and drove to help us deliver the luggage to the new room. During the period, he also introduced the hotel and surrounding consultation. The services we needed in the future were also provided. It is well known that the Japanese service industry is excellent. When meeting compatriots in a foreign country, the language communication is smooth and they get real service and help. This hotel experience is the most satisfying one in the past ten years of traveling in Japan.
The Prince Karuizawa

The hotel is located quite far from Karuizawa JR station. There is a pickup bus service every half an hour outside the south exit of the station. However the bus is very small and can be quite full at times, causing people to rush onto the bus. It would be better if the hotel could set up a better queue-up system or adjust the frequency of the pickup bus service. By the way you can deposit luggage at the customer centre next to the pickup bus stop and have them transferred to the hotel for you. I thought the hotel did not advertise the service enough as it is very useful and effective in creating more passenger space in the pickup bus. Breakfast at the hotel is not buffet style, so went to the Prince Karuizawa West hotel to have breakfast instead. During non-peak hours the hotel offers individual transportation for free so that is definitely a plus. The Momiji hot spring is definitely a must-visit. Clean, modern, hygienic, exactly what I look for in a hot spring. Overall service is excellent.
