Mark and Adèle run Kanonkop House with a local team, they call their family. From the moment of pick up at George airport Mark inundates you with suggestions, tips and plans for your stay. There is not an hour going by without surprise. Kanonkop House rooms are close to perfect. We stayed at the Diamond Suite overlooking the lagoon enjoying the sunrise and the sunset. Every breakfast is a new adventure. The Boma nights are a true treat on their own with a braai and followed by a six course meal. If somebody wants to find out what paradise would look like, we suggest to visit Kanonkop House. This quite sure might not be our last stay at this magnificent place.

Kanonkop House is amazing; the service and hospitality we received was outstanding. Everyone makes you feel 100% at home, 100% of the time. This was the first location we stayed at on our first visit to South Africa and they set the standard very high indeed.

Exceptional place with fantastic hospitality! Mark, Adele, Rocco and the rest of the Kanankop team were really friendly and nothing was too much trouble. This place a real crown the jewel! We did not want to leave the fantastic views and great breakfasts. The pool was heated which was amazing. Such a relaxing few days we spent at this exquisite place. We’ll definitely be back here and would highly recommend this place!

Wow, wow wow! Please don’t stay in knysna proper stay here. It’s so easy and affordable to get into town or a quick drive. This property is beyond amazing. Mark and every single person from his team went over and above anything I could have ever expected. They have a lovely bar area with a breathtaking view where you can mingle with other guests or take a glass back to a large comfortable room with lots of space. There is no detailed missed and the food is excellent. We will be back.

Fantastic guest house with divine views over Knysna lagoon to the Heads. The rooms are beautiful and the staff are very friendly and efficient. Mark and Adele the owners add a huge amount to the experience and can give great advice on the local area and beyond. We have been many times and can’t wait to go back. This is the best guest house to stay in Knysna by miles. The breakfasts are delicious and made to order.

Our lagoon facing suite didn’t disappoint ! Plenty of space, chic decor and great bathroom. The owners, Mark & Adele and their lovely team gave us a warm welcome, hugs on departure and couldn’t do enough for us 5 stars for cleanliness, service with a big smile and great food. This was our first stop on our visit to South Africa and it certainly set an exceptional standard to follow. From the moment we arrived Mark, Adele and their team, who have worked there for many years, gave us 100% hospitality and service. Our room was outstanding and overlooked the lagoon. If you are visiting the garden route and Knysna, this is the place to stay without doubt. We will definitely be returning and this wonderful guest house will always hold a special place in our hearts. Thank you again.

Absolute Best place we have stayed in out of 8 others this time around.Both Mark and Adel were so very helpful and a delight to talk to.I was overwhelmed with their hospitality.The actual guest house has a picture postcard view of the lagoon.Wine and refreshments are on offer throughout the day.You will not be dissapointed.
