Villa Fontaine Hotels in Kobe

Hands down best stay so far during my 15 days in Japan and the service is really immaculate. I've been to Japan on several solo trips and this is easily one of the most memorable hotels. The staff are really nice and the hotel room view is incredible. The room they upgraded me to speaks for itself, beautiful bathroom and really good amenities. Although the hotel is situated off the mainland, there is a portliner rail service and also a complementary shuttle service to two of the main stations in Kobe city area. Really value for money.

Amazing view of the port and landmarks. Such a chill place to stay and relax. The ocean view buffet breakfast was another level, food was great and even greater with the view and music. One point is that maybe it’s an older hotel, the noise proof is not enough, I can feel my bed shake when neighbor closing their door. Also there were many small small bugs flying near the window. But overall it’s a fantastic experience. Will visit again when in Kobe.

this hotel situated in very good location beside Shin Kobe Station which can get you to anywhere such as Osaka, Kyoto, Himeiji, even Tokyo. The hotel is consider rather big as compared to local Japanese hotel. Services & breakfast was excellent. Highly recommended.

Hotel Okura is very prestigious place with Japanese emperor frequently visited. One of the big conglomerates Pre world war 2. 1 year ago, Japanese emperor had visited Okura Kobe. However, it has been subpar to say the least and overpriced. Cleanliness (Stains in a lot of spots) As you can see from the photo. There were stains at bathtub. When I asked the front, they said it is inevitable due to how long it has been used. Even the washroom inside Okura had stains and dust, which is very concerning considering it’s price point Location (Good for sea views but bad for tourism, walking and traveling) The location for sea view is amazing and it’s near haborland and BeKobe. However, Meriken-Oriental park also offer the same sea view + direct port for ferry with same price point and better cleanliness. The big problem with its location is it is far from everywhere else. Some tourist spots such as Kitano Ijinkan, sanomiya city center, waterfalls and herb garden. The JR is at Shin-Kobe which is around 15min taxi. Walking is pain the ass, as front entrance is only for cars, in order to walk, you need to go through one of the three sub-entrances, which requires you taking elevator or walking stairs The location is not bad but there are hotels with better location such as ANA Crowne Plaza Kobe. Directly under the shinkansen, 5 min walk (one street) from kitano ijikan and one straight line to waterfall and herb garden. The service was also fantastic. Service (Amazing, but can’t really speak English) The only thing going for the hotel with this price point was its service. Everyone was really kind and helpful, very professional. I have seen several times staffs were struggling with English speakers but aside it’s amazing. Amenities. (It got the regular stuff but lacking minor stuff like weight scale, free newspaper etc which gets offered at same price point)

Visiting Kobe with my family of 4, got a connecting room. Such good location, big spacing , amenities are spot on and got packed extra after we left the hotel with do not disturb sign at the front door. Great hospitality!!!

Sheraton is a very safe international hotel chain, he has a certain standard, in the Marriott system, is the positioning of the senior brand. In Sheraton Kobe, his decoration is quite old, and there is a distance from the city. However, the quality of the personnel is basically online. It is also good for Marriott members. Platinum treatment is not falling, but late check-out needs to be discussed. This time there are other itinerary. So there is no late check-out. For Asian guests who do not speak Japanese, they will also explain the hotel facilities in English seriously, and take an English-language instruction paper to the guests. For female guests who stay alone, they will also pay attention to the sense of peace of mind and security that female guests care about. Breakfast is eaten in the restaurant on the first floor. The dishes are more general, but enough to eat; the executive lounge is relatively narrow, and the HH time seats are full, so stop and go out for food. Sheraton Kobe itself is a large building volume. He is configured with railway traffic. There are some shops in the building. The highlights of the facilities inside should be hot springs. Who doesn't love hot springs? There are hot springs without going out, which is great! I like it here, because it is rare. I traveled alone in Japan. The people in this hotel did not discriminate against me, an Asian woman who stayed alone (I checked the online data, and the Japanese really treated foreigners differently! It turns out that I am not just at Dayuan B&B, The Ritz-Carlton Osaka and Mandarin Oriental Tokyo have suffered) At Sheraton Kobe, everything I encountered this time was civilized and courteous, thank them for letting me continue to love the Sheraton brand.

Room and bed much larger than expected for a solo traveller like me at such a bargain. Vintage-style design with elements of clock faces seen throughout the hotel. I especially like how they use clock faces and clock arms to represent the floors the elevators are at. Local is convenient, close to the Sannomiya Subway station. The overall experience was great and I would consider booking this again if I had the chance to return to Kobe.

Great stay in a very clean hotel typical of japanese business hotel. Perfect for solo traveller. Everything in room is well thought of. No aircon in winter. But there is window. Bus stop right in front of hotel will bring you to kone sannomiya train station ! Highly recommended.

Stayed a couple of nights in this Hotel on our recent trip to Japan and it was the best of the lot. From the moment you are greeted at reception on the 17th Floor the service you get is excellent at this hotel. The room was a good size and the 3 of us had enough room. It was very clean with a great bathroom and a wonderfully powerful shower. The supplied cotton pyjamas were so good we ended up buying a set to take away. The breakfast was very good, a standard buffet with Japanese items available as well. Plus its the only breakfast I've had where sparkling wine was available. The terrace bar is also based on the 17th floor and has a great view of the city and a good selection of Japanese whiskeys and cocktails. We had dinner one night at the steakhouse which served us with the best Wagyu beef we had in Japan. If we are in Kobe again we will stay in this hotel. The staff were very attentive and always did their best to please us and the quality of the accommodation and the food was excellent.
